Pae White (born 1963) is an American multimedia visual artist who is known for her unique portrayal of nature and rather mundane objects through her creations of suspended mobiles. She currently lives and works between Sonoma CountySonoma County, California, Retrieved 12 August 2021. and Los Angeles, California. Early life and education White was born in 1963 in Pasadena, California, Pasadena, California. She attained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Scripps College in 1985. In 1990 she studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. In 1991 she attained a Masters of Fine Art from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Le Stanze del Vetro (in English: Rooms for Glass) is a gallery located on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy with rotating exhibits of Venetian glass. Langen Foundation near Neuss, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany is a museum designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The foundation showcases a collection of Oriental Art and Modern Art. It is located on the grounds of the Museum Insel Hombroich. History Marianne Langen's collection of Japanese art, once mainly housed in Switzerland, consists of about 500 works dating from the 12th to the 19th century. Her husband, Viktor, who held several patents for technical innovations in automobile production, had traveled regularly to visit customers in Japan, where the couple's collection was formed. The South London Gallery, founded 1891, is a public-funded gallery of contemporary art in Camberwell, London. Until 1992, it was known as the South London Art Gallery, and nowadays the acronym SLG is often used. Margot Heller became its director in 2001. Gallery History The gallery traces its origins back to the South London Working Men's College at 91 Blackfriars Road in 1868, whose Principal was the biologist Thomas Henry Huxley, the grandfather of Aldous Huxley; the Manager was William Rossiter.
