Pacific Paradise is a suburb of Maroochydore in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Pacific Paradise had a population of 2,190 people. Geography Pacific Paradise is bounded to the south by the Maroochy River, to the south-west by the Sunshine Motorway, to the north-east by Finland Road, to the north loosely by the North Shore Connection Road. The suburb is part of the Maroochydore urban centre and is located by road north of Maroochydore CBD via the Sunshine Motorway. The residential areas are in the north-east of the suburb () with the remainder of the suburb being undeveloped land, either used for farming or unused because it is marshland. Undanbi
The Undanbi are an Aboriginal Australian people of southern Queensland. Alternative or clan names include Inabara, Djindubari and Ningy Ningy (also spelt Ningyningy and other variants). Name The autonym Undanbi is formed from their word for 'man' (''dan''). Language The Undanbi spoke a dialect mutually intelligible with that of the Jagera and Turrbal peoples, and it was apparently the dialect mastered by Tom Petrie. Country The Undanbi occupied an estimated around the coastal strip along Coolum Beach and Moreton Bay, reaching down from Noosa Heads as far south as the estuary of the Brisbane River. Electoral District Of Cooroora
Cooroora was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland from 1912 to 1992. It was based mainly on the area of the district of Wide Bay and named after Mount Cooroora, near the town of Pomona. Cooroora was mainly a safe Country/National seat, but was one of the many seats that Labor won in the 1989 election landslide. The Shire of Maroochy was a local government area about north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast region of South East Queensland, Australia. The shire covered an area of , and existed as a local government entity from 1890 until 2008, when it amalgamated with its neighbours to the north and south to form the Sunshine Coast Region. History In 1842, Andrew Petrie explored the coast north of Brisbane and discovered the Mary River with a small party including two Aboriginal men from the Brisbane River region who spoke the Yuggera language. David Low Way is a Australian road connecting the many coastal townships of the Sunshine Coast with the two large city centres of Maroochydore in the south and Noosa Heads in the north. The route is an alternative coastal route to the Sunshine Motorway and passes through the sugar and fruit growing town of Bli Bli and then crosses the Sunshine Motorway. The road then travels north along the coast, through many coastal towns to the terminus at Noosa Heads. It is named after David Low, a local Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.
