Klamath River Hydroelectric Project
The Klamath River Hydroelectric Project is a series of hydroelectric dams and other facilities on the mainstem of the Klamath River, in a watershed on both sides of the California/Oregon border. The infrastructure was constructed between 1903 and 1962, the first elements engineered and built by the California Oregon Power Company ("Copco"). That company merged into Pacific Power and Light in 1961, and is now the energy company PacifiCorp. PacifiCorp continues to operate the project for profit, producing a maximum of 169 MW from seven generating stations. The company owns all but one of the dams. Cholla Power Plant
The Cholla Power Plant is a 1.02-gigawatt (1,021 MW), coal power plant near Joseph City, Arizona, United States. The plant is jointly owned by Arizona Public Service (APS) and PacifiCorp. The plant began operations in 1962. History The coal burned at the plant came mostly from the McKinley Mine, located east of Window Rock, Arizona in New Mexico, until the mine was closed in 2009 after its reserves being leased were exhausted. Lloyd Center Tower
The Lloyd Center Tower is an 88-meter (290 foot) tall office tower in the Lloyd District of Portland, Oregon. At 20 stories, it is the tallest building in Oregon East of the Willamette River. It was designed by John Graham & Associates and was completed in 1981. Companies who have occupied the tower include Durst Buildings Corp., who sold the tower to PacifiCorp in 1994. PacifiCorp sold 50% of the office space in the tower in 1995 to Ashforth Pacific, Inc. A skybridge connects the high-rise to Lloyd Center across Northeast 9th Avenue. Lake Side Power Station is a natural gas turbine power station at Vineyard, Utah, United States. It was built by Lake Side Power LLC. with Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation and is operated by PacifiCorp which does business in Utah as Rocky Mountain Power.
