"Pachuco" is a song by Mexican rock band La Maldita Vecindad. It was released in 1991 on their second studio album ''El circo (album), El Circo'' (1991). Kumbia Kings version "Pachuco" is a song by Mexican-American cumbia group A.B. Quintanilla y Los Kumbia Kings. It was released as a single for their live album ''Kumbia Kings Live'' (2006) on March 11, 2006. The song is a studio recording and not a live track. La Maldita Vecindad
La Maldita Vecindad y los Hijos del Quinto Patio (, usually called only "La Maldita") is a band formed in Mexico City in 1985. They are pioneers of rock en español and one of the most influential rock bands in Mexico. They first made an impact with ''Mojado'', ''Un poco de sangre'', ''Cocodrilo'', ''Pachuco'' and ''Un gran circo'', songs that narrate the problems, adventures, and beauty of a society anxious to improve its economic status. Their wardrobe has incorporated elements of the pachuco, an Archetype, archetypical character represented by Germán Valdés, Tin Tán in Cinema of Mexico, Mexican cinema. Chris Pérez
Christopher Gilbert Pérez (born August 14, 1969) is an American guitarist, best known as lead guitarist for the Tejano band Selena y Los Dinos. He married the frontwoman of the group, Selena, on April 2, 1992. Pérez grew up in San Antonio, Texas as one of two children of Gilbert Pérez and Carmen Medina. In 1986, he began his tenure by joining Shelly Lares' band. By the late 1980s, Pérez was respected among Tejano musicians for his guitar skills. This caught A.B. Quintanilla's attention; at the time, A.B. was seeking another guitarist for the band he produced, Selena y Los Dinos. Between one and two years after Pérez joined the band, he and Selena began a personal relationship. Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla, forced them to end their relationship because he felt Pérez's image might damage Selena's career. Cruz Martínez
Cruz Martínez (born June 21, 1972) is an American record producer and musician. He is a former member of the Tejano music, Tejano band La Sombra. In 1999, he joined the cumbia music group Los Kumbia Kings, created by A.B. Quintanilla. In 2007, he created the band Los Super Reyes. He is married to Alicia Villarreal. Career Cruz Martínez's interest in music began at the age of twelve when he learned to play the piano with the help of one of his uncles. By the age of sixteen, Martínez began producing music and programming computers in the studio for the family band. By age sixteen, Cruz had received his first Grammy nomination. He joined the Tejano music, Tejano band La Sombra. A.B. Quintanilla formed the band Los Kumbia Kings in 1999, which Cruz Martínez would join and co-write and co-produce songs.
