Ralf Johan Gustaf Törngren (1 March 1899 – 16 May 1961) was a Finnish politician, born in Oulu. He was the party leader of the Swedish People's Party (1945–1955), a member of the Finnish parliament and the Prime Minister of Finland 5 May – 20 October 1954. Onni Alfred Hiltunen (26 November 1895 – 8 June 1971) was a Finnish politician, minister in several cabinets and chairman of the Social Democratic Party. Hiltunen was born in Jyväskylä. Kaarlo Hillilä
Kaarlo Henrik Hillilä (27 May 1902 – 14 May 1965) was a Finnish politician who served as the provincial governor of Lapland (1938–1947), head of the market town of Rovaniemi, minister of the interior (1944–1945), minister of supply (1945–1946), and director general of the Social Insurance Institution (1946–1954). Hillilä took part in the battle of Oulu as a student during the Finnish Civil War with his classmate Aaro Pakaslahti in February 1918. He then went on to participate in a number of battles in the Satakunta region and in what is now the far western part of Pirkanmaa. After the civil war ended, he and his younger brother volunteered in the Estonian War of Independence as part of the ''Pohjan Pojat'' unit beginning in early 1919. Yrjö Murto
Yrjö Aleksanteri Murto (24 August 1899 – 17 December 1963) was a Finnish communist politician and trade unionist. Born to a working-class family, Murto became a saw mill worker, and joined both the Finnish Woodworkers' Union and the Finnish Communist Party (SKP). In 1927, he became president of the union, and in 1930 he briefly served as president of the Finnish Trade Union Federation, to which the union was affiliated. The federation and its affiliates were banned, and Murto moved to the Soviet Union to study at the Lenin School. Murto returned to Finland in 1935, intending to resume political activity, but he was arrested and imprisoned for seven years. On completing his sentence, he was immediately sent to an internment camp, and was finally released in 1944. Murto was appointed as the SKP's organising secretary for Oulu. Eino Oskari Pekkala (29 November 1887 − 30 September 1956) was a Finnish lawyer and politician. He was a member of the Parliament of Finland, representing the Socialist Electoral Organisation of Workers and Smallholders 1927–1930 and the Finnish People's Democratic League 1945–1948. In the 1920−1930s, Pekkala was twice in prison for his political activities, and he was even kidnapped by the fascist Lapua Movement in 1930.
