Phoe Kyar
U Phoe Kyar ( my, ဖိုးကျား, ; also spelled Pho Kyar; 23 March 1891 – 11 April 1942) is considered one of the top Burmese authors and education reformists in 20th century Myanmar. He is regarded as the father of Burmese short stories, a key member of the Nationalist Education movement of the 1930s and also a literary genius. His works continue to be popular with both the young and old in Myanmar. Youth Po Kya was born to Daw Daung and U Pe in Nibban Village, Hinthada district on the Irrawaddy delta in 1891. Kawleikgyin Ne Win
''Kawleikgyin'' Ne Win ( my, ကောလိပ်ဂျင်နေဝင်း, ; 1 October 1928 – 2 June 1983) was a two-time Burmese Academy Award winning Burmese film actor and director. Early life Ne Win was born in Hinthada (Henzada), Ayeyarwady Division, the son of Daw Tin, a teacher, and U Thet Pe, a police officer. Born Ne Win, he was given his famous moniker after his successful debut film, ''Kawleikgyin'' (The Collegian), so as not to be confused with the late Burmese dictator with the same name, Gen. Ne Win. After graduating from Coming High School in Hinthada, Ne Win enlisted in the Burmese Navy in 1946. He left the navy in 1951 to enroll in Rangoon University. Daisy Kyaw Win ( my, ဒေစီကျော်ဝင်း) is a Burmese actress who won the Myanmar Academy Award in the 1971 film ''Arr Nwae Thu Par Shin''. May Thit ( my, မေသစ်; born Khin Thit 1925 – 2001) was a Burmese actress and singer. She won Best Actress Award for 1960, Best Supporting Actress Award for 1964 and 1976 in Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards. She was famous around between 1950s and 1990s.
