Edwin Martin "Pa" Watson (December 10, 1883 – February 20, 1945) was a US Army Major general (United States), Major General and a friend and senior aide to President Franklin Roosevelt, serving both as a military advisor and Appointments Secretary, a role that is now encompassed under the duties of the White House Chief of Staff. Early life and career Edwin M. Watson was born on December 10, 1883 in Eufaula, Alabama. Raised in Virginia, he was the son of a businessman in the tobacco industry. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, among contemporaries George S. Patton and Jonathan Mayhew Wainwright IV, Jonathan Wainwright. Watson entered with the Class of 1906 on June 16, 1902 but was discharged for a deficiency in mathematics on April 9, 1903. He was readmitted as a plebs#Use in Education, plebe on August 23, 1903 but resigned in the middle of his third class year on December 29, 1904. Pa Dibba
Pa Amat Dibba (born 15 October 1987) is a Gambian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Turkish Club Eyüpspor. Career Early career Dibba was born in Gambia but moved to Sweden with his family at age seven. The family settled in Brandbergen, near Stockholm. As a youth player he spent time with Hammarby IF, FOC Farsta and Enskede IK before eventually playing first team football with Brandbergens IF. Brandbergens IF were playing in the ninth tier of Swedish football at the time but would make a quick rise to the fifth tier during Dibba's years with the club. Pa Momodou Konate (born 25 April 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a left back for Nea Salamis Famagusta. Born in Sweden, he represents the Guinea national team. Club career Malmö FF Born in Malmö, Sweden, Konate began his football career at Malmö FF joining the club when he was five years old and lived in a few hundred meters from Swedbank Stadion. Pa Laide (born 1971/1972) is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Austin Stacks club and at senior level for the Kerry county team in the late 1980s till the late 1990s. Personal life Laide is from Tralee in County Kerry, Ireland. He has served as CEO of Cara Credit Union, a role he had as of 2017. He previously worked with Allied Irish Banks. His father Mick played with Galway in the 1959 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final loss to his native Kerry. Club Laide lined out at club level with the Austin Stacks club in Tralee. Pa Benedict Odiase (August 25, 1934 – June 11, 2013) was a Nigerian composer who composed " Arise, O Compatriots," the national anthem of Nigeria. "Arise, O Compatriots," which was adopted in 1978, replaced the country's previous national anthem, " Nigeria, We Hail Thee".
