PW (rapper)
Akheim Allen (born 30 May 1992), is a British rapper from Edmonton, London. He is of Grenada, Grenadian and Jamaican descent. One of eight children, Allen was nicknamed "Pee Wee"—later shortened to PW—by his older brother due to his height when he was younger. Career Akheim started rapping at the age of 13. After uploading videos to YouTube in 2010 PW began to attract more attention, with plays on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Choice FM and Capital Radio, Capital. Akheim supported Dappy on his 2011 UK tours, as well as embarking on a solo school tour. In 2012, PW opened for Conor Maynard and Mindless Behavior on tour, and the video for his track 'Single' was playlisted on major music TV channels, as well as Channel 4's Freshly Squeezed and video of the week on Kiss TV. PW Also helps out with a road safety campaign called "One road, Many users". He goes with the special team and performs in front of school children. Capital London is a radio station owned and operated by the Global media company as part of its national Capital FM Network. As Capital Radio it was launched in the London area in 1973 as one of Britain's first two commercial radio stations. Its brief was to entertain, while its opposite number, London Broadcasting (LBC), was licensed to provide news and information. In search of a larger audience in 1974, Capital Radio rapidly moved from a general and entertainment station with drama, features, documentaries and light music to a more successful pop music-based format. In 1988 it became two stations: 95.8 Capital FM and Capital Gold. Tayo Jarrett (born 5 April 1986), better known as Scorcher, is a British grime MC, songwriter and actor from Enfield, London. He was previously a member of the grime collective The Movement and is signed to Blue Colla Music. Career 2005–08: Early career He began his career in Cold Blooded where he became known for his "shank" bars, and would regularly attend pirate radio and work his way up through the North London grime circuit. Scorcher served a short prison sentence in 2006 for driving offences, and while in jail his mixtape ''Simply the Best'' was released and was greeted with good reviews from the grime scene. After an incident with fellow Cold Blooded member Cookie, Scorcher left Cold Blooded to concentrate on a new collective known as The Movement, which featured Scorcher alongside Wretch 32, Devlin, Mercston, and Ghetts. Kiss TV is a commercial hip-hop and dance music television channel owned by Channel Four Television , with permission to use the Kiss brand from Bauer Media Audio UK. The playlist predominantly consists of old skool and mainstream hip-hop, grime, EDM/ Dance and R&B. It is based on the format of the Bauer owned national radio station Kiss.
