PWA Heavyweight Championship (Minnesota)
The PWA Heavyweight Championship is a professional wrestling heavyweight championship in Pro Wrestling America (PWA). It is the only remaining championship after PWA began running occasional events in the mid-1990s. The inaugural champion was Mad Dog Vachon, who defeated "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal in Anoka, Minnesota on January 15, 1985 to become the first PWA Heavyweight Champion. Pro Wrestling America is a regional independent wrestling promotion based in Minneapolis, Minnesota during the 1980s and early 1990s. Inver Grove Heights is a city in Dakota County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 35,801 at the 2020 census. Kaposia
Kaposia or Kapozha was a seasonal and migratory Dakota settlement, also known as "Little Crow's village," once located on the east side of the Mississippi River in present-day Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Kaposia band of Mdewakanton Dakota was established in the late 18th century and led by a succession of chiefs known as Little Crow or "Petit Corbeau." (originally known as North Eastern Wrestling) is a Japanese professional wrestling promotion founded by The Great Sasuke on October 1, 1992. It was the first independent wrestling promotion in Japan to not base its operations in Tokyo, but rather in Morioka, Iwate. Since the promotion is primarily focused on the Lucha libre style of wrestling, many of their wrestlers don masks and special motifs as they compete in the ring. Thomas Leroy Kasat (March 24, 1956 – April 10, 2020) was an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Teijo Khan/Teijho Khan. As Kahn, Kasat portrayed an Asian savage despite being Caucasian. He worked as part of Paul Jones' Army in Jim Crockett Promotions and also worked for the American Wrestling Association (AWA).
