Guilherme Boulos
Guilherme Castro Boulos (born 19 June 1982) is a Brazilian politician, Activism, activist and writer. He is a member of the National Coordination of Homeless Workers' Movement (MTST). Boulos joined the Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL) in 2018, and was PSOL's candidate for the presidency of Brazil in 2018 Brazilian general election, the 2018 general election. In 2020 Boulos was the PSOL nominee for mayor of São Paulo in the 2020 São Paulo mayoral election, 2020 election, qualifying for a second round against PSDB candidate Bruno Covas. Covas defeated Boulos in the run-off. 2022 Brazilian General Election
General elections were held on 2 October 2022 in Brazil to elect the president, vice president, the National Congress, the governors, vice governors, and legislative assemblies of all federative units, and the district council of Fernando de Noronha. As no candidate for president—or for governor in some states—received more than half of the valid votes in the first round, a runoff election for these offices was held on 30 October. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received the majority of the votes in the second round and became president-elect of Brazil. Incumbent far-right president Jair Bolsonaro was seeking a second term. Brazilian Senate
The Federal Senate ( pt, Senado Federal) is the upper house of the National Congress of Brazil. When created under the Imperial Constitution in 1824, it was based on the House of Lords of the British Parliament, but since the Proclamation of the Republic in 1889 and under the first republican Constitution the Federal Senate has resembled the United States Senate.
