PSA World Tour 2013
The PSA World Tour 2013 is the international squash tour organised circuit organized by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) for the 2013 squash season. The most important tournament in the series is the World Championship held in Manchester in England. The tour features three categories of regular events, World Series, which feature the highest prize money and the best fields, International and Challenger. Professional Squash Association
The Professional Squash Association (PSA) is the governing body for the men's and women's professional squash circuit. The body operates in a similar fashion to the ATP and the WTA for tennis. The PSA's highest professional level, the PSA World Tour involves over 200 tournaments annually around the world. Over 800 players from all the 5 continents (over 60 different countries represented ) are registered with the PSA and rankings are updated monthly based on players' performances. Amr Shabana
Amr Shabana (; born 20 July 1979 in Cairo) is a former professional squash player from Egypt. He won the World Open in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009, and reached the World No. 1 ranking in 2006. He represented the winning Egyptian team in the 1999 Men's World Team Squash Championships held in Cairo and the 2009 Men's World Team Squash Championships held in Denmark. Shabana's accomplishments in professional squash lead many to regard him as one of the greatest players of all time. The Men's J. P. Morgan Tournament of Champions 2013 is the men's edition of the 2013 Tournament of Champions, which is a PSA World Series event Gold (Prize money : 115 000 $). The Tournament of Champions is an annual international squash championship held in New York City. In recent years, the event has been held at Grand Central Terminal, in a specially-constructed four-walled glass court in the Vanderbilt Hall. The tournament was first held in 1930. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Forero (born December 20, 1985 in Bogotá), known as Miguel Rodríguez, is a professional male squash player who represents Colombia. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 4 in June 2015. Early life Rodríguez was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He was introduced to squash at the age of 2 by his father Ángel, a former professional squash player himself. He played primarily at the Club El Nogal in Bógota. Cameron Pilley (born 27 October 1982) is a former professional squash player from Australia. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 11 in January 2011. Pilley was born in Grafton, New South Wales. From 2001 to 2005, he attended the Australian Institute of Sport on a squash scholarship, where he trained under Geoff Hunt and Rodney Martin. Simon Rösner (born 5 November 1987 in Würzburg) is a German former professional squash player. He broke the Top 10 in the PSA World Rankings for the first time in November 2014, going on to become the highest-ranked male German player of all time. Omar Mosaad Abouzid (born March 17, 1988 in Cairo) is a professional squash player who represents Egypt. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 3 in 2016. Tarek Momen (born 23 February 1988 in Cairo) is a professional squash player representing Egypt. He is a former World Champion, and reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 3 in February 2019. Borja Golán (born 6 January 1983 in Santiago de Compostela) is a Spanish retired professional squash player. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 5 in April 2014. Career overview In August 2009, in the Colombian Open final, Borja suffered serious injury to his right knee which kept him out of action for six months. He reached the top ten World Ranking the month following the tournament. About three years later, in 2013, he succeeded to climb back into the top 10.
