Alina Popa (born October 12, 1978) is a Romanian-born professional female bodybuilder currently living in the USA. Early life and education Popa grew up Brăila, Romania. From the age of 12, she competed in track and field, initially to lose weight. In college, she studied English and Romanian for four years, majoring in the former with a teaching degree. Bodybuilding career Amateur At the age of 19, she chanced upon a gym in her hometown, where she encountered a young woman preparing for the National Junior Championships. This inspired Popa to begin a training regimen of her own. She would continue lifting for the next two years before a trainer suggested she train competitively. Popa entered her first local competition in 2000, a regional cup in which she placed second. Later that same year, she placed third in her division at the National Championships. Nicolae Popa (born 1 September 1939) is a Romanian judge, the president of the High Court of Cassation and Justice from 2004 to 2009. Popa, born in Govora, Vâlcea County, graduated the University of Bucharest's Law Faculty in 1960, receiving a Doctorate in Law from that institution in 1975. Beginning in 1960, he taught in the same faculty, becoming a professor of general legal theory and judicial sociology in 1975. Roxana Daniela Popa Nedelcu (born June 2, 1997 in Constanța) is a Romanian-born Spanish artistic gymnast who has represented Spain in all her international competitions. Popa first came into contact with gymnastics in her native Romania, where there is a long tradition in the sport, and there she had her early training. Now, she trains at the Spanish National Training Center (CARD), and is a part of the EGAD Los Cantos Alcorcon in Madrid. A member of the Spain women's national gymnastics team, she competed at the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2019 World Championships, as well as the 2020 Summer Olympics. Porin Palloilijat or FC PoPa is a Finnish football club, based in the city of Pori in Finland. The club currently plays in the Ykkönen (First Division), the second highest level of Finnish football . Popocatépetl
Popocatépetl (; Nahuatl: ) is an active stratovolcano located in the states of Puebla, Morelos, and Mexico in central Mexico. It lies in the eastern half of the Trans-Mexican volcanic belt. At it is the second highest peak in Mexico, after Citlaltépetl (Pico de Orizaba) at . It is linked to the twin volcano of Iztaccihuatl to the north by the high saddle known as the "Paso de Cortés". Izta-Popo Zoquiapan National Park, wherein the two volcanoes are located, is named after them. Popocatépetl is southeast of Mexico City, from where it can be seen regularly, depending on atmospheric conditions. Okavango River
The Okavango River (formerly spelled Okovango or Okovanggo), Also known as the Cubango River, is a river in southwest Africa. It is the fourth-longest river system in southern Africa, running southeastward for . It begins at an elevation of in the sandy highlands of Angola. Farther south, it forms part of the border between Angola and Namibia, and then flows into Botswana. The Okavango does not have an outlet to the sea. Instead, it discharges into the Okavango Delta or Okavango Alluvial Fan, in an endorheic basin in the Kalahari Desert. Popa Game Park is a game park in Namibia, around the series of cascading rapids known as Popa Falls in the Okavango River, where the river crosses the Caprivi Strip in Kavango East, between Divundu and Bagani. During low water one can see that the difference of elevation is ca. 4 meters. The game park, which measures 0.25 km², was founded in 1989. It contains hippos, crocodiles and 417 bird species. The vegetation is lush savannah vegetation. Mount Popa (, ) is a dormant volcano 1518 metres (4981 feet) above sea level, and located in central Myanmar in the region of Mandalay about southeast of Bagan (Pagan) in the Pegu Range.
