PMR Records
PMR Records is an independent record label founded by Ben and Daniel Parmar in 2011. Initially building recognition as a quintessentially British outlet plugged in to local dance/electronic music culture, with a keen awareness of the trajectory of pop music, PMR was responsible for the early development of Disclosure, Jessie Ware and Jamie Woon who have gone on to have mainstream success. It also nurtured specialist dance/electronic music acts such as Julio Bashmore and T.Williams. In 2022, just over a decade since its inception, PMR Records retains its influential status with one foot in the beating heart of the underground and one on the global stage of pop music with a slew of cult and commercial achievements, including international No.1s, BRITs, Grammy Awards and more. Mercury Prize
The Mercury Prize, formerly called the Mercury Music Prize, is an annual music prize awarded for the best album released in the United Kingdom by a British or Irish act. It was created by Jon Webster and Robert Chandler in association with the British Phonographic Industry and British Association of Record Dealers in 1992 as an alternative to the Brit Awards. The prize was originally sponsored by Mercury Communications, a brand owned by Cable & Wireless, from which the prize gets its name. It was later sponsored by Technics (1998 to 2001), Panasonic (2002 and 2003), Nationwide Building Society (2004 to 2008) and Barclaycard (2009–14). Dornik Leigh (born 2 January 1990 in Croydon, London, England) is a British musician. Career Dornik started off being a ghostwriter for Odd Future and Syd Tha Kyd. He later was credited as producer and songwriter in those groups. Ben Ash, professionally known as Two Inch Punch, is an English record producer, musician, remixer and songwriter. He has written and produced records with Jessie Ware, Sam Smith, Years & Years, Rag'n'Bone Man, Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign, Damon Albarn, and Brian Eno. Ash also collaborates with American producer Benny Blanco as the production outfit BenZel. They have featured with Sia, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, Cashmere Cat and Ryn Weaver. Career In 2012 Ash put out his first record "Love You Up" online under the alias Two Inch Punch.
