PMAN
Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (also known as Performing Musicians Employers' Association Of Nigeria and abbreviated as PMAN) is an organisation founded by Christy Essien-Igbokwe and Sunny Okosun in 1984 to guide, protect and promote the interests of musicians in the west African nation of Nigeria. Authorized by the government of Nigeria under the Trade Unions Act, the organisation also has the responsibility to regulate the practice of music profession in the country. As of 1st of August 2018, the president of PMAN is Pretty Okafor, while the 1st Vice President is Suny Neji, and 2nd Vice Zaaky Azay. Christy Essien-Igbokwe
Christiana Uduak Essien-Igbokwe, MFR (11 November 1960 – 30 June 2011) was a Nigerian musician and actress. Called "Nigeria's Lady of Songs", she was known for her songs "Seun Rere" Tete Nula, Ife, Hear the Call and Give me a Chance. She was the first female president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), and the chairwoman and managing director of Soul Train Entertainment. She sang in Igbo, Ibibio, Efik, Hausa, Yoruba and English. Her fluency in Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, English, and her native Ibibio gave her an appeal which crossed tribal lines. Early life Christy was born in Okat, Onna, Akwa Ibom State. Tony Okoroji
Tony Okoroji is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, author and intellectual property activist. He was elected President of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) in 1989 and later became the Chairman of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON). Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli
Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli ( MFR) is a Nigerian flautist with cross-cultural Itsekiri and Swiss roots. Career Omatshola combined his first degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, with a specialization in classical music concert performance and philharmonic composition of the University of Lausanne. During a rich career spanning over 40 years, Omatshola formed numerous bands, including Tee Mac & Afro Collection in the 1970s. He recorded his first LP, ''United'', with Polydor International in Germany with his European band Tee Mac United, in the late seventies.
