PFF Women's League
The PFF Women's League (PFFWL) is the top-flight of women's association football in the Philippines. History To follow up with the PFF Women's Cup which was launched in 2014, the PFF Women's League was launched on November 5, 2016, by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). The competition became the first to follow a league format following the folding of the Pinay Futbol League in 2013 and became the first women's domestic league in the country. The league sanctioned by PFF as an amateur league as part of ''FIFA's Women's Development Project'' for the Philippines. Prior to the league's establishment, the primary competition for women's football in the Philippines was the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Most of the teams that are participating at the inaugural 2016–17 season were either from the UAAP or alumni teams. Asian Football Confederation
The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in Oceania Football Confederation, OFC, joined AFC in 2006. Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, both Territories of the United States, territories of the United States, are also AFC members that are geographically in Oceania. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC who managed women's association football in Asia. 2019–20 PFF Women's League
The 2019–20 PFF Women's League season is the third season of the women's national league of the Philippines following the 2018 season. De La Salle University is the defending champions. Format The league adopted a double round-robin format with a projected 90 matches to be played from July 27, 2019. The primary venue for the league's matches is the PFF National Training Centre in Carmona, Cavite. Matches will be usually held in the weekends with select matches to be held during the weekdays. The league's first round ran until mid-October 2019 with the second round beginning on October 19, 2019. Though initially planned to last until December 2019, the league season's duration was extended to the following year with the first matches of 2020 to be held on January 11, 2020. The season ended in February 2020. Sara Castañeda
Sara Isobel Arrieta Castañeda (born December 5, 1996) is a Filipino footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Philippines women's national team. Youth and collegiate career Castañeda has a younger brother and sister, Anicka Castañeda. She took up the sport of football at age 5, after witnessing her brother play for the Makati Football Club. She attended De La Salle Zobel for her high school studies and was part of her school's football team. During her high stint, she was awarded the Athlete of the Year twice. Castañeda later played for the football team of her college, De La Salle University. FEU Lady Booters
The FEU Lady Tamaraw Booters are the varsity women's football team of the Far Eastern University. They compete at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), as well as at the PFF Women's League, the top flight domestic women's football league in the Philippines. By winning Season 76 of UAAP in 2014 which is their ninth title, the FEU Lady Tamaraws became the collegiate team in the UAAP to have the most titles in women's football. They added to the then-record by winning again in Season 77. As of Season 85, they are tied with the De La Salle Lady Booters for most titles, at 11 apiece. They have also won the PFF Women's Cup thrice. 2016-17 PFF Women's League
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA. The Younghusband Football Academy Inc. (TYFA) is a football academy based in the Philippines. A women's football team from the academy participated in the 2016–17 season of the PFF Women's League, the top flight women's football league in the Philippines. History Philippine international footballers, Phil and James Younghusband established The Younghusband Football Academy in Alabang in 2010 under the name "Younghusband Football Academy, Inc.". becoming the first football academy in the country. The Zobel Lady Junior Archers may refer to the women's football team of the De La Salle Santiago Zobel School which competed in the PFF Women's League, the top-flight women's football league in the Philippines. UP Fighting Maroons Women's Football Team
The UP Fighting Maroons are the varsity women's football team of the University of the Philippines. They compete at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), as well as at the PFF Women's League, the top-flight domestic women's football league in the Philippines. The team was also among the participants of the Philippine Ladies' Football National League, which was organized by the Philippine Ladies' Football Association in 1981. UP clinched the league title besting Philippine Air Force. The team also participated at the 2015 PFF Women's Cup where they fielded two teams, namely University of the Philippines-X and University of the Philippines-Y.
