PFC Montana
FC Montana ( bg, ФК Монтана) is a Bulgarian association football club based in Montana, which currently plays in the Second League, the second level of Bulgarian football league system. Montana plays its home matches at the Ogosta Stadium, which has a capacity of 8,000 spectators. The club's traditional colours are blue, white and red. After a prolonged period of absence, they were propelled back into professional football in the mid 90s with the help of some experienced and talented footballers, including the ex-captain of English Aston Villa and Bulgarian international Stiliyan Petrov. FC Montana was founded in 1921 when the few amateur sports clubs and organizations in the city decided to merge into one club. The new club was named SC Hristo Mihaylov after the Bulgarian communist party activist Hristo Popmihaylov, who was born in the town. Ventsislav Ivanov
Ventsislav Ivanov ( bg, Венцислав Иванов; born 20 May 1982) is a Bulgarian former footballer and currently manager of Belasitsa Petrich. Career He had previously played for Belasitsa Petrich and Chernomorets Burgas. He signed with Montana in January 2008. The Bulgarian Third Amateur Football League ( bg, Трета аматьорска футболна лига, Treta Amat'orska Futbolna Liga), commonly referred to as Third League ( bg, Трета лига) or Treta liga, is the third level of the Bulgarian football league system. The Bulgarian Second Professional Football League ( bg, Втора професионална футболна лига, Vtora Profesionalna Futbolna Liga), also known as Second League ( bg, Втора Лига) or Vtora liga, is the second level of the Bulgarian football league system, below First Professional Football League (Bulgaria), First League and above the Third Amateur Football League (Bulgaria), Third League. History The club was created in 1962 by a group of workers, laying the foundations of the future Petroleum Refinery Neftochim, which had not yet been named. The team startеd in A regional group under the name of Stroitel. The team's first-ever friendly game was against Lokomotiv Burgas. In 1964 the Refinery was finally named Neftochim and the team's name was also changed to Neftochimic. In 1965 the team earned its promotion to 2nd Bulgarian division. In its first game in 2nd division, on September 9, 1965, the team played in front of a crowd of 8000 fans. Angel Chervenkov ( bg, Ангел Димитров Червенков, born 10 June 1964) is a Bulgarian former footballer and football manager. Career As a player As a footballer, Chervenkov played as a defender for Tundzha Yambol (1980–1981), Armeets Sofia (1981–1984), CSKA Sofia (1984–1987), Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa (1987–1989), Etar Veliko Tarnovo (1989–1994) and Montana (1994–1996). In Bulgaria's top division, the A PFG, Chervenkov had 298 matches and 40 goals. 2015–16 Bulgarian Cup
The 2015–16 Bulgarian Cup was the 34th official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began on 23 September 2015 with the matches of the First Round and finished with the final on 24 May 2016. Cherno More Varna were the defending champions. For the first time in the history of this competition the winner, CSKA Sofia, came from the third division of Bulgarian football. The 2014–15 B Group was the 59th season of the Bulgarian B Football Group, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system.
