PELbO (initiated 2006 in Trondheim) is a Norwegian electronica/jazz trio. Biography The band's debut albumet ''PELbO'' (2010), was nominated for the 2010 Open class Spellemannprisen. The trio was named NTNU-ambassadør in 2011, a title that is awarded a jazz artist or ensemble annually, for in an outstanding manner to serve as ambassador for NTNU and the jazz scene in Trondheim. Ine Hoem
Ine Kristine Hoem (born 19 December 1985 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz singer and the daughter of the author Edvard Hoem. She is also known as the lead singer of the genre band PELbO. Career Hoem got her music diploma from the Jazz program at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2009). Within the band PELbO, she released the album ''PELbO'' (2010) and '' Days Of Trancendence'' (2011). The album ''PELbO'' was nominated for the 2010 Open class Spellemannprisen. Trond Bersu
Trond Bersu (born 4 January 1984 in Skjåk, Norway) is a Norwegian drummer and producer. Career During his music studies on the Jazz program at the Trondheim musikkonservatorium Bersu started the band PELbO together with fellow students Ine Hoem and Kristoffer Lo. Their self titled debut album was nominated for the 2010 Open class Spellemannprisen. The second album release was ''Days Of Transcendence'' (2011). In Trondheim he also collaborated with another fellow student Ingrid Helene Håvik and later on when established in Oslo, they started the band Highasakite together. Their debut album ''All That Floats Will Rain'' (2012) was well received, but and was nominated for This year's newcomer at Spellemannprisen the same year. Kristoffer Lo (born 19 February 1985 in Moss, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (tuba, flugabone, guitar, keyboards) and composer. Biography Lo has redefined the use of tuba and its role in band. From its traditional role as the low-end in symphony orchestras and Dixieland bands, he has taken the instrument to a new direction, filling the position as the ultra low end in metal- and noise bands. With a bunch of electronics and huge amps, Kristoffer’s tuba sounds like a low-end monster and a high pitched squeal at the same time. Spellemannprisen
Spellemannprisen, often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy Awards in English, is a Norwegian music award presented to Norwegian musicians. The award was established by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), an organization that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. First awarded in 1973, the prize honours musicians from the previous year; it is still awarded annually, usually in January or February.
