PBG Basket Poznań is a former professional basketball club from Poznań, Poland. The team was founded in 2006, intending to continue the basketball legacy of Lech Poznań. PBG played in the PLK for most of its existence, but withdrew in 2012. Hala Arena , generally called simply Arena, is an indoor sporting arena in the Grunwald district of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It is primarily used for volleyball, other indoor sports, and concerts. The venue opened in 1974 and seats approximately 5,500 people, depending on type of event. Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK) (English language, English: Polish Basketball League) is a professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish basketball league system, Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season. It began in 1947–48, with the name of I Liga, and was originally organized by the Polish Basketball Federation. Damian Kulig (born June 23, 1987) is a Polish professional basketball player for Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski of the Polish Basketball League (PLK). He represents the Polish national team internationally. Standing at , he plays at the power forward and center positions. Professional career On March 22, 2012, Kulig moved from Poznań to sign with the Polish team Turów Zgorzelec until the end of the 2011–12 season. In May 2012, the club extended contract with him for one more season. In the 2014–15 season, Kulig played in the EuroLeague for the first time in his career. Over 10 games, he led his team with 15.2 points, also having 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
