PAS Lamia 1964
Lamia Football Club ( el, Π.Α.Ε. Π.Α.Σ. Λαμία 1964) is a Greek professional football club based in Lamia, Greece. It was founded in 1964. The club plays in the Super League, the first tier of Greek football. It plays its home matches at the Lamia Municipal Stadium. History Foundation and early years On 1 June 1964, when the representatives of the clubs of Fthiotida decided to "carve out" a common course, A.S. Lamia was established. In order to reach the final decision, it took a long time and endless hours of negotiations. The "Queen of Fthiotida", as it is called, comes from the merger of Lamiakos and Palamiaki. In 1961 Hellenic Football Federation decided that from the next season (1962–63) the 2nd National Division, at which Olympiacos Lamia would compete at that time, would consist of 60 teams divided into four groups and the champion from each group would also take the rally for the First National. Lamia Municipal Stadium
Lamia Municipal Stadium is a football stadium in the Greek city of Lamia which hosts the home matches of Super League Greece side PAS Lamia 1964. It holds approximately 5,500 seats. History It was built in 1952 and belongs to the Municipality of Lamia. The stadium is located in the northern part of Lamia, next to the local Town Hall and is part of Lamia Municipal Sports Center (DAK of Lamia). Its capacity is 5,500 seats, making it the twelfth largest stadium in the Football League for the 2014–15 season. The stadium was rebuilt in 2004 and 2008, and blue plastic seats were added to all the stands. The record of attendance at the Lamia Municipal Stadium took place on March 31, 1968, in a match between Lamia and Trikala, with 11,502 fans staying at the stadium stage. The 2000–01 Gamma Ethniki was the 18th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. Patraikos was crowned champion, thus winning promotion to Beta Ethniki. Chalkidona-Near East also won promotion after a winning a promotion play-off in which was participated with Atromitos and Ethnikos Piraeus. 2020–21 Super League Greece
The 2020–21 Super League Greece was the 85th season of the Super League Greece, the top Greek professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1959. Olympiacos were the defending champions. Teams Fourteen teams will compete in the league – the top twelve teams from the previous season, one team of play-off winner and one team promoted from the Super League 2. The promoted team was PAS Giannina who has returned to the first tier after a one-season absence. They replaced Panionios (relegated after 23 seasons in the top flight). 2019–20 Super League Greece
The 2019–20 Super League Greece was the 84th season of the Super League, the top Greek professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1959. The season marks the first year that the league that included a Play-off Round, whereby the top six teams at the conclusion of the regular season played each other exclusively to determine the league champion. The rest of the teams played each other in a Play-out Round to determine the relegation positions. The season was suspended on 13 March 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic in Greece, then later resumed on 5 June 2020. During the championship, the multi-ownership scandal broke out between PAOK and Xanthi. The ESA (Professional Sports Committee) considered the case serious, which meant the automatic relegation of the two teams. 2018–19 Super League Greece
The 2018–19 Super League Greece, or ''Super League Souroti'' for sponsorship reasons, was the 83rd season of the highest tier in league of Greek football and the 13th under its current name. The season started on 25 August 2018 and concluded on 22 May 2019 with the relegation play-offs. AEK Athens were the defending champions. OFI and Aris joined as the promoted clubs from the 2017–18 Football League, replacing Platanias and Kerkyra who were relegated to the 2018–19 Football League. PAOK won their third championship and their first one in 34 years, by beating Levadiakos on the penultimate round of the league. 2017–18 Super League Greece
The 2017–18 Super League Greece, or ''Souroti Super League'' for sponsorship reasons, was the 82nd season of the highest tier in league of Greek football and the 12th under its current name. The season started in August 2017 and ended in May 2018. The league comprises fourteen teams from the 2016–17 season and two promoted from the 2016–17 Football League. On 12 March 2018, the Super League Greece was suspended by the Greek government until further notice after the president of PAOK, Ivan Savvidis, had stormed onto the field with a revolver during the match between PAOK and AEK Athens played the previous day. The suspension was lifted on 27 March. PAOK was deducted 3 points and AEK was awarded 3 points for the incident. The 2014–15 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football system and the fifth season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. This is the second season since 1982–83, and the third season overall, that the league has more than one group. The groups are created based on geographical criteria. The 2013–14 Gamma Ethniki was the 31st season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It was scheduled to start on 22 September 2013. 93 teams were separated into six groups, according to geographical criteria. Thrasyvoulos, Anagennisi Epanomi, and Pelopas Kiato F.C. withdrew from the league before the group draw. The 2008–09 Gamma Ethniki was the 26th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It started on September 14, 2008 and finished on May 3, 2009. 36 teams contest the league, divided into two groups of 18 clubs each, using certain geographical criteria. 23 of the participant clubs have contested in the 2007-08 season, 3 of them have been relegated from Beta Ethniki, while 10 of them have been promoted from Delta Ethniki. The 2007–08 Gamma Ethniki was the 25th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It started on September 23, 2007 and ended on June 8, 2008. Diagoras and Kavala were crowned champions in ''South'' and ''North'' Groups, respectively, thus winning promotion to Beta Ethniki. The third promotion ticket was gained by Anagennisi Karditsa, second-placed in ''North'' Group, after the win against Ilioupoli, second-placed in ''South'', to the single play-off match which was held on June 14, 2008, at Georgios Kamaras Stadium.
