PAIC Império SP1
The PAIC Império SP1 is an experimental unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed and manufactured by the Portuguese Aerospace Industry Consortium (PAIC) and Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors to support civilian protection agencies in the wildfire detection and maritime patrol roles. Império SP1 was developed under the PAIC Império UAS program, which was established in July 2008 as result of the offset compensation that was part of the contract for the modernization of the Portuguese Air Force's P-3C Orion aircraft. As such, development started in April 2009 and was funded by the Portuguese government and Lockheed Martin. The program had a duration of four years and was completed in December 2012. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without any human pilot, crew, or passengers on board. UAVs are a component of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS), which includes adding a ground-based controller and a system of communications with the UAV. The PEGAZ 011 ( sr, text=Пегаз, translation=Pegasus) is a medium-range tactical UAV for day and night attack (armed variant), reconnaissance and surveillance missions, target acquisition and designation developed by Military Technical Institute in Serbia and produced by Utva Aviation Industry, subsidiary of Yugoimport SDPR. Its flight autonomy is over 12 hours, and it sends data from the height of 6,000 m. Powered by a two-cylinder boxer type of engine with 32 kW (43 HP), it reaches the maximum flight speed of 200 km/h. AAI RQ-2 Pioneer
The AAI RQ-2 Pioneer is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that had been used by the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Army, and deployed at sea and on land from 1986 until 2007. Initially tested aboard USS ''Iowa'', the RQ-2 Pioneer was placed aboard s to provide gunnery spotting, its mission evolving into reconnaissance and surveillance, primarily for amphibious forces. It was developed jointly by AAI Corporation and Israel Aircraft Industries. In an aircraft with a pusher configuration (as opposed to a tractor configuration), the propeller(s) are mounted behind their respective engine(s). Since a pusher propeller is mounted behind the engine, the drive shaft is in compression in normal operation.
