Pyra (comics)
Paintball Paintball is a DC Comics supervillain who first appeared in ''Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E.'' #2 and was created by Geoff Johns and Leo Moder. Paul Deisinger is an art teacher who was transformed into a paint-themed criminal and became a minion of Dragon King. Paintball in other media Paul Deisinger appears in '' Stargirl'', portrayed by Randy Havens. This version is an art teacher at Blue Valley High School. Following a minor appearance in the episode "Summer School: Chapter Two", Deisinger appears in the episode "Summer School: Chapter Five", wherein Cindy Burman uses Eclipso to enchant Deisinger into painting until he becomes engulfed by a paint blob. When the Justice Society of America investigate, he causes them to see nightmares until Stargirl pulls him out of the paint blob, curing him of Eclipso's powers. Pyra Labs
Pyra Labs is a subsidiary of Google (Alphabet) that created the Blogger service in 1999. Google acquired Pyra Labs in 2003. History Pyra was co-founded by Evan Williams and Meg Hourihan. The company's first product, also named "Pyra", was a web application which would combine a project manager, contact manager, and to-do list. Their coder Jack Dorsey altered an ftp program to work on a webpage, enabling online users to upload to a webpage web-log. In 1999, while still in beta, the rudiments of Pyra were repurposed into an in-house tool which became Blogger. The service was made available to the public in August 1999. Much of this coding was done by Paul Bausch and Matthew Haughey. Initially, Blogger was completely free of charge and there was no revenue model. The DragonBox Pyra is an upcoming Linux-based handheld computer equipped with a keyboard and gaming controls. The project entered prototyping stage in 2015. Pre-orders began on 1 May 2016, with a final release date still undefined. In August 2020 the first production model had been shipped, but only to developers, as the software wasn't ready.
