Punainen jättiläinen ("Red giant") is a Finland, Finnish small publisher of Japanese manga and Korean manhwa. It was founded in April 2005 by its CEO, Antti Grönlund. However, the publisher was acquired by Tammi (publishing company), Tammi in 2009. Nowadays, Punainen jättiläinen works together with Sangatsu Manga under facilities of Tammi publishing company. (in Finnish) Punainen jättiläinen is known from their typically large-format, bookstore-oriented releases. The only exceptions this far are ''Azumanga Daioh'' and ''Yotsuba&!'', which are in small-format and sold at magazine stands, as is typical for manga published in Finland. Eerie Queerie
''Eerie Queerie!'', titled in the original Japanese, is a four-volume manga series written and illustrated by Shuri Shiozu. It was published by Shinshokan under the Wings Comics imprint from 1999 to 2003. The series was licensed in English by Tokyopop in 2004, though it went out of print when the company closed its North American publishing division in 2011. Plot The series centers around Mitsuo Shiozu, a lonely high school student who has the psychic ability to see "spirits" who can use him to interact and communicate with the living world for a purpose. These purposes usually don't go very well for Mitsuo, but the spirits seem to be able to do what they need to do to move on. They also lead Mitsuo to quite a few admirers – of the male sex. Kuroshitsuji
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yana Toboso. It has been serialized in Square Enix's ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Monthly GFantasy'' since September 2006. The series follows Ciel Phantomhive, the twelve-year-old Earl of Phantomhive serving as the Queen's Watchdog. He is tasked with solving crimes in the underworld of Victorian-era London. Ciel has formed a contract with demon Sebastian Michaelis, who disguises himself as his butler, to seek revenge on those who tortured him and murdered his parents. In exchange for his services, Sebastian will be allowed to consume Ciel's soul. Vampire Knight
is a Japanese manga series written by Matsuri Hino. It was serialized in Hakusensha's ''shōjo'' manga magazine ''LaLa'' from 2004 to 2013, with its chapters collected in nineteen ''tankōbon'' volumes. The manga series is licensed in English by Viz Media, who has released all nineteen volumes. The English adaptation premiered in the July 2006 issue of Viz's ''Shojo Beat'' magazine, with the collected volumes being published on a quarterly basis. Two drama CDs were created for the series, as well as a twenty-six episode anime adaptation based on the first two sagas. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Keiichi Arawi. The manga began serialization in the December 2006 issue of Kadokawa Shoten's manga magazine '' Shōnen Ace'', and was also serialized in ''Comptiq'' between the March 2007 and July 2008 issues. Kadokawa Shoten later published all chapters of the series' initial run in ten ''tankōbon'' volumes from July 2007 to December 2015. ''Weed'', known in Japan as is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Takahashi. It is a sequel to Takahashi's 1980s manga ''Silver Fang -The Shooting Star Gin-'', and focuses on Weed, the son of Gin, the original series' protagonist. Weed, named after the English word for wild plant, leaves his birthplace to search for his father in the Ōu Mountains. Upon arriving, Weed immediately begins protecting Ōu and its soldiers from dangerous threats. As the series progresses, Weed and his allies journey throughout Japan, aiding those in need and preventing takeovers.
