Sándor Puhl
Sándor Puhl (14 July 1955 – 20 May 2021) was a Hungarian football referee, mostly known for supervising four matches in the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States, including the final between Brazil and Italy. He also refereed UEFA Champions League matches, including the 1997 UEFA Champions League Final between Borussia Dortmund and Juventus. Dortmund ended up being 3–1 winners. He was elected as IFFHS' World's Best Referee of the Year four times in a row between 1994 and 1997. After retiring as a referee, he was Deputy Chairman of the Hungarian Football Association from 2000 to 2006. He also worked as a co-commentator for a Hungarian sports TV channel. Puhl spoke Hungarian, German, Italian and English. Terry Stephen Puhl (born July 8, 1956) is a Canadian former professional baseball player and coach. He played in Major League Baseball as a outfielder from 1977 to 1991, most prominently as a member of the Houston Astros where he helped the franchise win its first-ever National League Western Division title and postseason berth in . Puhl excelled defensively as an outfielder, committing just 18 errors in 1,300 career games. His .993 fielding percentage is the best among outfielders in Astros history and ranks 8th all-time among all outfielders in National League (NL) history. Puhl is the head coach of University of Houston–Victoria's baseball team and was the manager of the Canada national baseball team. He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 1994 and, into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995. He was inducted into the Houston Astros Hall of Fame in 2022. John Puhl
John G. Puhl (July 10, 1876 – August 24, 1900) was an American professional baseball player from Brooklyn, New York who appeared in three games over two seasons with the New York Giants from 1898 to 1899. He began his professional baseball career with the New London Whalers of the Connecticut State League in 1898 at the age of 21. He played for the Whalers from May 4 until September 10 then was signed by the New York Giants of the National League. Career A Nazi, Puhl was director and vice-president of Germany's Reichsbank during World War II and also served as a director for the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) at Basel (Switzerland).
