''Protection'' is the tenth studio album by American punk rock band Face to Face, released on March 4, 2016, through Fat Wreck Chords. It was issued with the catalog number FAT954 on multiple formats including compact disc, vinyl and digital download. This was the first release for the band on Fat Wreck Chords in over 20 years, and the first one with guitarist Dennis Hill as the replacement of Chad Yaro. The album was recorded at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado and produced by Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore. Danny Thompson (May 23, 1967) is an American musician from Naperville, IL. Thompson has been the drummer for the punk rock band Face to Face since 2008. Career Danny Thompson joined Face to Face in 2008 when the band reunited since Drummer Pete Parada had already joined The Offspring The year before Prior to playing with Face to Face, Thompson drummed for Material Issue, The Uprising and Why We Kill. He has recently recorded some parts of Alan Parson's new album "From the new world", issued on July 15, 2022 Business Interests In addition to drumming in Face to Face, Thompson is the co-owner of Music Factory School of Music in Costa Mesa, CA and runs a line of men's grooming products called Old Ironsides Gentlemen's Care. Scott Shiflett
Scott David Shiflett (born August 22, 1966) is an American musician who has been the bassist in the punk rock band Face to Face (punk band), Face to Face since 1995. Born in Santa Barbara, California, he is the brother of Foo Fighters lead guitarist Chris Shiflett. Scott has also performed in the bands Viva Death, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Jackson United, and 22 Jacks. Career Scott Shiflett joined Face to Face in 1995 replacing original bassist Matt Riddle. Shiflett became both a co-songwriter and co-producer of the band's records along with bandmate Trever Keith. Shiflett and Keith also formed Viva Death, a side project of Face to Face, as a vehicle for their baritone guitar driven experimental rock. Viva Death features contributions from Shiflett's brother Chris, drummer Josh Freese, and longtime Face to Face producer/mixer Chad Blinman. The Blasting Room
The Blasting Room is a recording studio in Fort Collins, Colorado. Founded by members of the punk rock band All in 1994, it is owned and operated by musician Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag, All, Only Crime) and Jason Livermore. The studio is known for recording and producing many punk rock bands, with Stevenson and Livermore serving as in-house audio engineers and record producers. In July 1994, the members of All relocated from Brookfield, Missouri to Fort Collins. Using money from their recent recording contract with Interscope Records, they designed and began construction of The Blasting Room with the help of guitarist Stephen Egerton's father, Dan O' Reilly. Face to Face is a punk rock band from Victorville, California, formed in 1991 by frontman Trever Keith, bassist Matt Riddle and drummer Rob Kurth. The band rose to fame with their 1995 album ''Big Choice'', featuring the radio hit " Disconnected" which received heavy rotation on KROQ radio in Los Angeles and appeared in the movies ''Tank Girl'' and ''National Lampoon's Senior Trip''. Face to Face officially split up in September 2004, allowing the band members time to focus on other projects.
