Prostitute
Prostitution is the business or practice of engaging in sexual activity in exchange for payment. The definition of "sexual activity" varies, and is often defined as an activity requiring physical contact (e.g., sexual intercourse, non-penetrative sex, oral sex, etc.) with the customer. The requirement of physical contact also creates the risk of transferring diseases. Prostitution is sometimes described as sexual services, commercial sex or, colloquially, hooking. It is sometimes referred to euphemistically as "the world's oldest profession" in the English-speaking world. A person who works in this field is called a prostitute, or more inclusively, a sex worker. Prostitution occurs in a variety of forms, and its legal status varies from country to country (sometimes from region to region within a given country), ranging from being an enforced or unenforced crime, to unregulated, to a regulated profession. It is one branch of the sex industry, along with pornography, stri ...

Prostitute (Alphaville Album)
''Prostitute'' is the fourth studio album by German synth-pop band Alphaville. Overview Following "the sci-fi-themed ''Afternoons in Utopia'' and the lushly orchestrated ''The Breathtaking Blue''", it was Alphaville's first release for five years. Having "a great variety of styles", this "jazzy and EDM-influenced" "dark theatrical album proved too abstract to achieve any notoriety". "The lack of commercial success led the band to return to its synth/dance roots with the following album, ''Salvation''". In 2019 Marian Gold recommended ''Prostitute'', along with the 2017 ''Strange Attractor'', to anyone who only knew Alphaville from '' Big In Japan''. Neuroticfish
Neuroticfish is a German musical project whose styles are borrowed from electronic body music, futurepop, and synthpop, as well as other types of electronic music. It has released music on the Dancing Ferret Discs record label. On July 20, 2012, Neuroticfish announced that work on a new album had begun, tentatively scheduled for release in 2013. After numerous delays, "A Sign of Life" was released on March 27, 2015. History Neuroticfish's sole member is Sascha Mario Klein. Klein cites his musical inspirations as such bands as Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, and Depeche Mode, and began experimenting with music on his own in the early 90s. After starting Neuroticfish, Klein did not make the typical efforts of a musician to send out a demo; instead, he relied on the internet to release and promote his music. Klein was eventually offered a place on a synthpop sampler called A Reflexion of Synthpop, which allowed the project to gain popularity within the club scene. The p ...

Prostitute (Toyah Album)
''Prostitute'' is the third solo album by British singer Toyah Willcox, released in 1988 by E.G. Records. Background It is a concept album, highly experimental in nature, marking a considerable divergence from Toyah's previous works. It was inspired particularly by the scrutiny her recent marriage to Robert Fripp was under in the press, which made her feel that she "had gone from all-powerful artist to invisible woman". The material was written and recorded only by Toyah and Steve Sidelnyc in a space of a few weeks. It is presented as a continuous piece of music, although a time-code programme has been provided to enable the listener to access a particular title. To accommodate the two-sided format of the LP and cassette releases, side one – subtitled ''Lie Down'' – contains the first seven titles, and side two – subtitled ''Think of England'' – contains the rest of the album. The cover photo comes from Stuart Brisley's performance ''The Game'' (1969). The album reporte ...
