''Project Runway All Stars (season 1)'' is the first season of the ''Project Runway'' spin-off series ''Project Runway All Stars''. It features 13 designers from seasons 1–8 of the original series with a new host, new judges and a new mentor. It premiered on Lifetime on January 5, 2012. Judges Model Angela Lindvall serves as the host as well as a judge. Designers Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman are the other recurring judges. ''Marie Claire'' Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles mentors the veteran designers. Guest judges include fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg, fictional character Miss Piggy, singer-actress Sutton Foster, model Miranda Kerr, and musician and producer Pharrell Williams. Lead makeup artist for the show is Scott Patric, and lead hairstylist is Linh Nguyen. ''Project Runway'' season 5 began filming the first week of June 2008 and premiered July 16, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. It was the final season of ''Project Runway'' that aired on Bravo. Subsequent seasons were shown on Lifetime. Returning as judges were supermodel Heidi Klum, fashion designer Michael Kors, and ''Elle'' editor-at-large Nina Garcia. Mila Hermanovski (born May 11, 1969) is an American costume designer and fashion designer best known for modernist womenswear. Early life and education Hermanovski was born in Dallas, Texas to parents Delmar and Carol Hermanovski. She is of Latvian, German and Northern European descent. She attended the Greenhill School, earning a National Scholastic Achievement Award in Art during her time there. At the age of eighteen, Hermanovski moved to Providence, Rhode Island to attend Rhode Island School of Design to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in apparel design, graduating in 1991. ''Project Runway Season 2'' was the second season of Bravo's successful ''Project Runway'', a reality competition for fashion designers. Season 2 began airing on December 7, 2005. Following a nationwide search earlier in the year, sixteen designers were chosen as semi-finalists and brought to New York City in June 2005. After the first challenge, called "Road To The Runway", fourteen went on to compete as finalists. Kara Janx (born 17 September 1975) is a South African fashion designer best known for her participation as a contestant on the second season of Bravo's '' Project Runway'', which aired from December 2005 to March 2006. Early life Born Kara Jankelowitz, in Johannesburg to an Ashkenazi Jewish family. Career Janx moved to New York City after obtaining a degree in architecture. She then became a fashion designer and launched her first collection in 2002. In 2009 Janx won the title of International Sportswear Designer of the Year, and then in 2011 she launched a successful bridal-wear line. On 14 January 2007, Janx married Sharone Sohayegh (sometimes referred to as Red) in South Africa. Sharone is involved in real estate.
