Alexandru Proca
Alexandru Proca (16 October 1897 – 13 December 1955) was a Romanian physicist who studied and worked in France. He developed the vector meson theory of nuclear forces and the Relativistic wave equations, relativistic quantum field equations that bear his name (Proca's equations) for the massive, vector spin-1 mesons. Biography He was born in Bucharest, the son of a civil engineer. He was one of the eminent students at the Gheorghe Lazăr National College (Bucharest), Gheorghe Lazăr High School and Politehnica University of Bucharest, Politehnica University in Bucharest. With a very strong interest in theoretical physics, he went to Paris where he graduated in Science from the Paris-Sorbonne University, receiving from the hand of Marie Curie his diploma of Bachelor of Science degree. After that he was employed as a researcher/physicist at the Curie Institute (Paris), Radium Institute in Paris in 1925. Proca became a French citizen in 1931. He carried out Ph.D. studies in theor ...

Proca Action
In physics, specifically field theory and particle physics, the Proca action describes a massive spin-1 field of mass ''m'' in Minkowski spacetime. The corresponding equation is a relativistic wave equation called the Proca equation. The Proca action and equation are named after Romanian physicist Alexandru Proca. The Proca equation is involved in the Standard Model and describes there the three massive vector bosons, i.e. the Z and W bosons. This article uses the (+−−−) metric signature and tensor index notation in the language of 4-vectors. Lagrangian density The field involved is a complex 4-potential B^\mu = \left (\frac, \mathbf \right), where \phi is a kind of generalized electric potential and \mathbf is a generalized magnetic potential. The field B^\mu transforms like a complex four-vector. The Lagrangian density is given by: :\mathcal=-\frac(\partial_\mu B_\nu^*-\partial_\nu B_\mu^*)(\partial^\mu B^\nu-\partial^\nu B^\mu)+\fracB_\nu^* B^\nu. ...

Zeno Proca
Zeno Proca (1906 – 15 February 1936) was a Romanian chess player, two-times Romanian Chess Championship medalist (1926, 1927), unofficial Chess Olympiad team bronze medal winner (1926). Biography Zeno Proca was one of the strongest chess players of Romania in the end of 1920s. He was repeated participant in first third Romanian Chess Championships (1926, 1927, 1929) and won silver (1926) and bronze (1927) medals. Zeno Proca played for Romania in the unofficial Chess Olympiad: * In 1926, at fourth board in the 2nd unofficial Chess Olympiad in Budapest (+1, =2, -0) and won team bronze medal. Zeno Proca played for Romania in the Chess Olympiad: * In 1928, at second board in the 2nd Chess Olympiad in The Hague The Hague ( ) is the capital city of the South Holland province of the Netherlands. Procas
Procas or Proca (said to have reigned 817-794 BC) was one of the Latin kings of Alba Longa in the mythic tradition of the founding of Rome. He was the father of Amulius and Numitor and the great-grandfather of Romulus and Remus, Rome's legendary founders. The name The names of the Alban kings are often related to toponyms around Rome, or to legendary figures in the early history of Rome. The constructed genealogies in which they appear may reflect the desire of status-seeking families in the Late Republic to lay claim to Trojan ilirian ancestry. The name ''Procas'' or ''Proca'' may be related to the mythological figure Prochyte, a kinswoman of AeneasGary D. Farney, ''Ethnic Identity and Aristocratic Competition in Republican Rome'' (Cambridge University Press, 2007), p. 57. who died when the fleet carrying the refugees of Troy Troy (/; ; ) or Ilion (; ) was an ancient city located in present-day Hisarlik, Turkey. It is best known as the setting for the Greek mythology, Gre ...

Procas Granulicollis
''Procas granulicollis'' (sometimes known as the climbing corydalis weevil) is a beetle in the family Curculionidae, the true weevils. It was first described in 1848 from a specimen collected in Cumbria and has since been found at a number of other sites in Britain, mainly in the west. It was thought to be endemic to the island but is now also known to occur in Spain. It is about 4-7mm long and black with white bristles giving it a mottled appearance. For many years it was considered to be a variant of the related species '' Procas armillatus'' which is very similar. It is usually found in woodland clearings at sites where its only known foodplant climbing corydalis (''Ceratocapnos claviculata'') can be found. The larvae have not yet been discovered but may feed inside bracken stems. References * Fowles, A.
