Pro-Wrestling Star Aztekaiser
is a Japanese pro-wrestling-themed tokusatsu/anime superhero television series produced by Tsuburaya Productions, and created by Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa. Nagai and Ishikawa created three manga series, simply named , published in different magazines by Shogakukan. None of them are related between them or the TV show. They were compiled in a single ''tankōbon'' in 1978 (Futabasha), 1986 ( Asahi Sonorama) and 2001 (Futabasha). This primarily live-action series is unique, in that, during each climactic battle with the weekly demonic menace, the titular wrestling superhero is able to transform his entire live-action surroundings into anime footage, enabling him to perform superhuman wrestling techniques that are otherwise impossible to perform in live-action. Ken Ishikawa
was a Japanese manga artist. He is renowned as the co-creator (with Go Nagai) of the ''Getter Robo'' anime series, as well as four of their subsequent manga continuations. According to Nagai, he considered Ishikawa his greatest friend and ally. Death Ishikawa collapsed at a dinner banquet after golfing; he was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The causes of death was acute heart failure. Influences Kazuki Nakashima, chief editor of the Getter Robo Saga compilation cited Ken Ishikawa as an influence when he worked on the series composition of the anime show, ''Gurren Lagann'', and also gave a memorial address at his funeral. He also calls himself Ken Ishikawa's number one fan. Ishikawa's early art is quite reminiscent of that of his mentor, Go Nagai. is the publishing arm of The Asahi Shimbun Company, publishing books, magazines, and manga. It replaced on 1 April 2008 just after it went bankrupt. History Asahi Sonorama was created as a division of Asahi Shimbunsha on September 9, 1959, under the name "Asahi Sonopress". It was initially established to record interviews, news, crime scene investigations, and articles on a variety of topics, and then release them on tape and sonosheets in the audio recording magazine ''Asahi Sonorama'' (from whence the company got its name). While doing this, the company also began publishing other magazines, manga collections, and novels.
