Mount Prindle
Mount Prindle is a granitic mountain in the Yukon–Tanana Uplands, and is located approximately north-northeast of Fairbanks, Alaska. The plutons that form the core of the Mount Prindle massif are Late Cretaceous or early Tertiary age. These plutons intruded older (Precambrian to Paleozoic) metamorphic rocks. Mount Prindle exhibits classic glacial landforms, unlike most of the surrounding Yukon–Tanana Uplands. It is in the Circle Mining District and many of the surrounding creeks have been or are being mined for placer gold. The area has also been prospected for tin and rare earth minerals. Mine roads and hiking trails provide access to the mountain. A granite wall on an eastern spur of the massif is an attraction for rock climbers. Prindle Volcano
Prindle Volcano is an isolated basaltic cinder cone located in eastern Alaska, United States, in the headwaters of the East Fork of the Fortymile River, approximately 80 kilometers northeast of Tok, Alaska. The cone is fresh-looking and has a base approximately wide. It is the northwesternmost expression of the Northern Cordilleran Volcanic Province. The cinder cone, and an approximately long lava flow which breached the margin of the cone, erupted in the Pleistocene approximately 176,000 years ago. The lava flow extends to the southeast, then turns southwest and continues in a river valley. Prindle is an unincorporated community located within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area along the Columbia River in Skamania County, Washington, United States. Cyrus Prindle
Cyrus Prindle (April 11, 1800 – December 1, 1885) was an American abolitionist and one of the founders of the Wesleyan Church. He was born in Canaan, Conn., and entered the New York conference in 1821. An Abolitionist in principle, he was removed from important appointments to the poorest, and in 1843 with others he seceded from the Methodist Episcopal church and founded the Wesleyan church. When the movement had accomplished its purpose, with about 100 others of his ministerial associates, he returned to the Methodist church. Eric Prindle (born August 30, 1976) is an American Heavyweight mixed martial artist who last competed in 2018. A professional competitor since 2008 he has fought in Bellator MMA and Pancrase, and was the Bellator Season Five Heavyweight Tournament Winner. Background Prindle was born in Erie, Pennsylvania but grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and Honolulu, Hawaii. Having developed a passion for combat sports from a young age, Prindle competed in kickboxing, winning two amateur bouts at the age of 12 against opponents twice his age and much larger than himself. Michael John Prindle (born November 12, 1963) is a former National Football League (NFL) placekicker. Prindle played one season for the Detroit Lions in 1987. High school Prindle was a kicker and quarterback for Grand Rapids Union High School. On October 31, 1980, he kicked a 55-yard field goal against Muskegon High School, the fifth longest in Michigan high school history. College Prindle went on to kick for Western Michigan University from 1981 to 1984. During his career at WMU he kicked 55 consecutive point after attempts (PATs) to make him the best kicker in WMU history up to the time he attended. An automatic transmission (sometimes abbreviated to auto or AT) is a multi-speed transmission used in internal combustion engine-based motor vehicles that does not require any input from the driver to change forward gears under normal driving conditions. The Prindle 18 is an American catamaran sailing dinghy that was designed by Geoffrey Prindle as a racer and first built in 1977.Sherwood, Richard M.: ''A Field Guide to Sailboats of North America, Second Edition'', pages 94-95. Geoffrey Prindle had started out as a surfboard manufacturer, but was also successful racing Hobie 14 catamarans and started his own line of boats, starting with the Prindle 16. Production The design was initially built by Surfglas, a surfboard manufacturer that changed its name to Prindle Catamarans. The boat was also built by Lear Siegler Inc. in the United States. A total of 2,300 boats were built, but it is now out of production.
