Present (Killing Heidi Album)
''Present'' is the second studio album by the Australian band Killing Heidi, released in Australia on 25 October 2002 (see 2002 in music), which peaked at No. 12 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It was produced by Paul Kosky, Chris Robinson and Andy Baldwyn, and followed from the group's debut album, ''Reflector''. Two singles were released, "Heavensent", which peaked at No. 28 on the ARIA Singles Chart, and " Outside of Me", which reached No. 12. A third album track, "Ammyl (Say What You Wanna Say)", was released to radio in 2003 but was never sold as a commercial single. The album uses four interludes between some tracks, known as "Heidiludes". These are short segments (varying from 11 to 36 seconds), featuring soft instruments and synths against Ella's distant backing vocals. Killing Heidi
Killing Heidi are an Australian rock band, formed in Violet Town, Victoria in 1996, initially as a folk-pop duo by siblings Ella and Jesse Hooper. The band has released three studio albums: '' Reflector'' (March 2000), which reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, ''Present'' (October 2002) and ''Killing Heidi'' (August 2004). Their top 20 singles are "Weir" (October 1999), "Mascara" (November, No. 1 on ARIA Singles Chart), "Live Without It" (April 2000), " Outside of Me" (September 2002) and "I Am" (July 2004). At the ARIA Music Awards of 2000 they were nominated in seven categories and won four trophies: Album of the Year, Best Group, Breakthrough Artist – Album and Best Rock Album for ''Reflector''. Ella Hooper
Ella Keighery Hooper (born 30 January 1983) is an Australian rock music singer-songwriter, radio presenter and TV personality. Hooper is the lead singer of Killing Heidi. The band formed in 1996 (when Ella was 13) and also featured her older brother Jesse Hooper. Killing Heidi broke up in 2006. Ella and Jesse have performed small scale venues as an Acoustic music, acoustic band, The Verses. Hooper has worked on 2DayFM and was one of the two captains in the short-lived revival of the ABC television show ''Spicks and Specks (2014 TV series), Spicks and Specks'' that commenced in February 2014. Paul Cashmere
Paul Cashmere is an Australian entrepreneur, broadcaster, music journalist and media executive. In 1995 he founded the digital music CD-ROM magazine, ''Undercover'', with Australian photographer and domestic partner, Ros O'Gorman (1960–2018). In September 2011 the pair founded the Noise Network including ''Noise11.com.'' As of September 2011 Cashmere was CEO and executive producer of the Noise Network.
