Prelude To Ecstasy
''Prelude to Ecstasy'' is the debut album by British indie rock band the Last Dinner Party, released on 2 February 2024 by Island Records. It was produced by James Ford, and includes the singles " Nothing Matters", " Sinner", "My Lady of Mercy", "On Your Side", "Caesar on a TV Screen" and "The Feminine Urge". The band will tour the UK and Europe from January to July 2024 in support of the album. The album received acclaim from critics and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. It was the UK's biggest first week-selling debut album in nine years, since ''Communion'' by Years & Years. The Last Dinner Party
The Last Dinner Party are a British indie rock band from London, formed in 2021. The band consists of Abigail Morris (vocals), Lizzie Mayland (vocals, guitar), Emily Roberts (lead guitar, mandolin, flute), Georgia Davies (bass), and Aurora Nishevci (keyboards, vocals). They have no permanent drummer, and are currently joined during live performances by Casper Miles. The band signed with Island Records before releasing their debut single "Nothing Matters (The Last Dinner Party song), Nothing Matters" in April 2023, which became a top 20 UK hit. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. ''Dog Man Star'' is the second album by English alternative rock band Suede (band), Suede, released in October 1994 on Nude Records. The album was recorded in London at Master Rock studios in early 1994, and was produced by Ed Buller. It was the last Suede album to feature guitarist Bernard Butler; growing tensions between him and singer Brett Anderson ended with Butler leaving the band before recording was complete. As a result, some tracks on the album had to be finished with the assistance of session musicians. In contrast to their debut album ''Suede (album), Suede'', which exhibited the influences of David Bowie and the Smiths, ''Dog Man Star'' exhibits a more varied aesthetic and draws from a wider range of influences. ''The Lexicon of Love'' is the debut studio album by English pop band ABC. It was released on 21 June 1982 by Neutron Records in the United Kingdom, by Mercury Records in the United States and Japan, and by Vertigo Records in Canada and Europe. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number one and has been certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) and gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Baroque-pop
Baroque pop (sometimes called baroque rock) is a fusion genre that combines rock music with particular elements of classical music.
