Preachers Son
Preachers Son is an Irish musical group based in Dublin. The group is led by Irish musician Brian Hogan, and as of 2014 includes guitarist Mark Walsh and drummer Geoff French. Past collaborations include various notable musicians such as Gavin Friday, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Cait O'Riordan, and Kenny Wollesen. History Preachers Son was formed in 2010 by Brian Hogan, the son of a preacher. He grew up listening to groups like Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Neil Young. Hogan began playing bass at the age of 12 and traveled throughout Europe playing in his father's Christian band. He went on to play with various notable musicians, including Kíla who he still plays bass with. With Kila, Hogan shared a number-one-hit alongside U2 and The Dubliners (''The Ballad of Ronnie Drew'') and in 2010 an Oscar nomination for animated feature '' The Secret of Kells''. The LA Film Festival was an annual film festival that was held in Los Angeles, California, and usually took place in June. Tabby Callaghan (born Trevor John O'Callaghan; 22 April 1981, County Sligo, Ireland) is an Irish musician. He finished third on the first series of ''The X Factor'' in 2004. Early career Callaghan played in many collectives and groups as a teenager growing up in Sligo. With his brother Dominic he formed his first real band, called ''Petronella'' around 1997. Nicky Brennan
Nicholas "Nickey" Brennan (born 3 December 1953) is an Irish former hurler, manager and Gaelic games administrator. He played as a right wing-back at senior level for the Kilkenny county team. More recently, he served as the 35th president of the Gaelic Athletic Association. Brennan joined the team during the 1974 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1985 championship. During that time he won two All-Ireland medals, three Leinster medals and two National Hurling League medals. At club level Brennan had a lengthy career with Conahy Shamrocks. The Dubliners
The Dubliners were an Folk music of Ireland, Irish folk band founded in Dublin in 1962 as The Ronnie Drew Ballad Group, named after its founding member; they subsequently renamed themselves The Dubliners. The line-up saw many changes in personnel over their fifty-year career, but the group's success was centred on lead singers Luke Kelly and Ronnie Drew. The band garnered international success with their lively Irish folk songs, traditional street ballads and instrumentals. Kíla is a 1987 Irish folk music/world music group from the Gaelscoil, Irish language secondary school, Coláiste Eoin, Coláiste Eóin in County Dublin. Band History Kíla began in 1987 in the secondary in Coláiste Eoin, in the first year they busked nearly every week and played 44 concerts, mostly at their father's publishing company book launches, their mother's art exhibition openings and their brother's political campaign launches.
