Pratesh Shirodkar
Pratesh Shirodkar (born 19 February 1989), is an Indian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Real Kashmir in the I-League. Career Sporting Goa After spending his youth career with SESA Football Academy in Goa Pratesh signed for Sporting Clube de Goa of the I-League on 29 June 2012. Pratesh scored his first goal for the club on 28 August 2012 against ONGC in the 2012 Durand Cup. Mumbai City In July 2015 Shirodkar was drafted to play for Mumbai City FC in the 2015 Indian Super League. Goa After playing the 2015 Indian Super League season with Mumbai City, Shirodkar signed with his home state side, Goa, for the 2016 season. Calangute
Calangute is a town in the North Goa district of the Indian state of Goa. It is famous for its beach, the largest in North Goa and a popular tourist destination. The peak tourist season is during Christmas and New Year, and during the summer in May. During the monsoon season, from June through September, the sea can be rough and swimming is prohibited. The 2016–17 I-League was the 10th season of the I-League, the top Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 7 January 2017 and concluded on 30 April 2017. Aizawl won their first title on the final day after securing a draw against Shillong Lajong on 30 April 2017. Defending champions Bengaluru FC finished in the fourth place. Dempo had entered the league after being promoted from the I-League 2nd Division but withdrew from the league along with Salgaocar and Sporting Goa. 2016 FC Goa Season
The 2016 FC Goa season was the club's third season since its establishment in 2014 and their third season in the Indian Super League. Background After retaining Brazilian head coach, Zico, as well as the core Indian players from the 2014 season such as Romeo Fernandes, Mandar Rao Desai, Narayan Das, and Laxmikant Kattimani, Goa began the season in good fashion with a 2–0 victory at home against Delhi Dynamos. Goa went on the finish the regular season in first place, winning seven of their fourteen games, losing only once in the second half of the season. In the finals, Goa took on Delhi Dynamos in the semi-finals. After losing the away leg 1–0, Goa qualified for the final after winning the home leg 3–0. The 2015–16 I-League was the ninth season of the I-League, the Indian professional football league, since its establishment in 2007. The season commenced on 9 January 2016, after the Indian Super League finished, and concluded on 24 April 2016. Indian Super League
The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. The league currently comprises 11 clubs. Each season of the tournament generally runs from October to March. The Federation Cup (also known as Hero Federation Cup for sponsorship reasons) was an annual knockout football competition in Indian football which started in 1977. From its inception, until I-League was started in 1997 (then called NFL), it was the most prestigious national level club football tournament in India. Until 2017, it was the most important club tournament after the I-League, to which it became a ''de facto'' League Cup. Winner of the Federation Cup was given direct entry in the AFC Cup.
