Power And Politics
''Power & Politics'' is a Canadian television news program focused on national politics, which airs live daily on CBC News Network from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time weekdays and as a syndicated podcast. The program normally originates from the CBC's Ottawa studios. The program launched on October 26, 2009 as a replacement for the long-running '' CBC News: Politics'', which had ended its run the preceding May with the retirement of host Don Newman. The new program was initially hosted by CBC journalist Evan Solomon. In September 2011, Rosemary Barton was added as host of the program's Friday edition after Solomon was also named host of CBC Radio One's '' The House''. Barton also served as substitute host on other days if Solomon was unavailable, and other CBC political journalists occasionally filled in as well. High-definition television (HD or HDTV) describes a television system which provides a substantially higher image resolution than the previous generation of technologies. The term has been used since 1936; in more recent times, it refers to the generation following standard-definition television (SDTV), often abbreviated to HDTV or HD-TV. Terry Milewski
Terry Milewski (born 1949) is a Canadian journalist, who was the senior correspondent for CBC News until his retirement in 2016. Milewski has reported in television, radio, and print media, from many places around the world. Assignments have included Ottawa, Calgary, Jerusalem, Europe, the Middle East, South America and the United States. He emigrated to Canada from the United Kingdom. Early life Milewski's parents immigrated to the United Kingdom before he was born. His father was a Polish medical student who fled Warsaw to serve with the 7th Armoured Division in North Africa. He completed his training in Edinburgh, where he met Milewski's mother, who was the daughter of an Egyptian doctor and a Scottish mother. She grew up in an upper-class family in Alexandria and attended boarding school in Scotland as a child. She was disowned for marrying a non-Muslim. 2009 Canadian Television Series Debuts

''Question Period'' (sometimes abbreviated ''QP'') is a Canadian television newsmagazine which airs weekly, currently excluding the summer months, on CTV Sundays at 11:00 AM ET/8:00 AM PT. The program, which takes its name from the parliamentary process of Question Period, is an interview and panel discussion program on Canadian politics, similar to an American Sunday morning talk show. Power Play (2009 TV Program)
''Power Play'' is a Canadian public affairs television program which airs weekdays on CTV News Channel. Interviews are conducted with important Canadian political figures as well as political journalists and strategists. The program broadcasts from Parliament Hill, and debuted on February 2, 2009. Its original host was Tom Clark; upon his departure from the network in September 2010, it was hosted on a week-by-week basis by various Bell Media journalists, including Jane Taber and Roger Smith, until CTV announced that Don Martin, a newspaper columnist, would become the new host of ''Power Play'' starting in mid-December 2010. His retirement from the program was announced in November 2019, with the program to be taken over by Evan Solomon Mondays to Thursdays and Joyce Napier on Fridays.
