''Pour déjouer l'ennui'' ( ''To thwart boredom'') is the tenth studio album by Canadian singer Pierre Lapointe, released through Audiogram and Columbia Records France on October 18, 2019. It is the final entry in a trilogy of albums for Lapointe, and was produced by Albin de la Simone. The album was debuted in a live performance at Club Soda in Montreal on October 15. The album received two Juno Award nominations at the Juno Awards of 2021, for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year and Francophone Album of the Year. Pierre Lapointe
Pierre Lapointe (born 23 May 1981) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. His work largely follows in the tradition of French chanson, though he is influenced by modern pop music. Defining himself as a "popular singer", he has built an egocentric persona of a dandy onstage, but says he does this mostly to deflect attention from himself. His records have found critical and commercial success in Canada. His regular tours in France ensured him a growing popularity as well as critical recognition. Life and career Early life Pierre Lapointe was born in Alma, Quebec, and grew up in Gatineau. He began studying visual arts in 1999, but changed his program and started to take theatre courses at the Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe. An audiogram is a graph that shows the audible threshold for standardized frequencies as measured by an audiometer. The Y axis represents intensity measured in decibels and the X axis represents frequency measured in hertz. The threshold of hearing is plotted relative to a standardised curve that represents 'normal' hearing, in dB(HL). They are not the same as equal-loudness contours, which are a set of curves representing equal loudness at different levels, as well as at the threshold of hearing, in absolute terms measured in dB SPL (sound pressure level). Clara Luciani (, ; ; born 10 July 1992) is a French musician., date= 17 April 2047 Biography Luciani comes from a Corsican family. Her grandfather, whom she did not know, was from Ajaccio. Luciani grew up in Septèmes-les-Vallons, in the suburbs of Marseille. Before her career in music, she studied art history and performed various jobs, including pizza chef, babysitter, sales at Zara, and teaching ESL. In 2011, she met the band La Femme, where she became, for a time, one of the vocalists. She sang two songs on the album '' Psycho Tropical Berlin'', released in 2013. After leaving the band, she formed the duo Hologram with Maxime Sokolinski. In 2015–2016, Luciani accompanied singer Raphaël onstage for his Somnambules tour. Audiogram is an independent record label founded in Quebec in 1984. The label represents performers who have contributed to and have marked Quebec's cultural scene. In the 1990s, Audiogram became home to many of the top local French artists and in 1993 expanded into the English-speaking Canadian market with Montreal rock group Gogh Van Go. By 1997, Audiogram had a full slate of multicultural and multilingual releases.
