Potka is an assembly constituency in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Overview According to the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008 of the Election Commission of India, Potka Assembly constituency covers Potka police station, Palasbani, Asta, Kowali, Nunia, Kumarasol, Barakanjiya, Bomaro Bangoriya and Damudih gram panchayats in Musabani police station. Bagbera town and Karandih – Purihasa, Hargarghutu, Bagbera panchayats and Kitadih village in Jugsalai police station. It is a reserved constituency for Scheduled Tribes. Vidhan Sabha
The State Legislative Assembly, or Vidhan Sabha, or also Saasana Sabha, is a legislative body in the states and union territories of India. In the 28 states and 3 union territories with a unicameral state legislature, it is the sole legislative body and in 6 states it is the lower house of their bicameral state legislatures with the upper house being State Legislative Council. 5 union territories are governed directly by the Union Government of India and have no legislative body. Each Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is directly elected to serve 5-year terms by single-member constituencies. Amulya Sardar
Amulya Sardar (23 August 1968 – 1 March 2017) was an Indian politician who represented Potka Assembly constituency from 2005 to 2010 as a Member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.
