Porte Des Lilas (Paris Métro)
Porte des Lilas () is a station of the Paris Métro. It serves line 11 and is the northern terminus of line 3bis. Located on the edge of the 19th and 20th arrondissements of Paris, it serves the neighborhood of the Porte des Lilas. The station is named after the nearby ''Porte des Lilas'', a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers Wall of Paris, which led to the town of Les Lilas. The station was referred to in Serge Gainsbourg's famous 1958 chanson "''Le poinçonneur des Lilas'' about the ennui of a Métro employee's workday. A Scopitone music video for the song was filmed in Porte des Lilas, showing the singer in a Métro uniform, punching tickets. Until January 2021 when line 14 was extended to Porte de Clichy, it was the only station at one of the gates of Paris to be served by two separate métro lines (it was served only by line 13 previously). The Paris Métro (french: Métro de Paris ; short for Métropolitain ) is a rapid transit system in the Paris metropolitan area, France. Paris Métro Line 13
Paris Métro Line 13 (opened as Line B; French: ''Ligne 13 du métro de Paris'') is one of the sixteen lines of the Paris Métro. It was built by the Nord-Sud Company before becoming Line 13 when the Nord-Sud was merged into the Compagnie du chemin de fer métropolitain de Paris (CMP) in 1930. Line 13 was extended in 1976 to reach the northern end of Line 14, which was then absorbed into it. The number 14 was eventually reused for a new line in 1998. Line 13 was once planned to be replaced by a north–south RER line, but this was cancelled after the reorganisation of the Île-de-France region in 1965. Today, Line 13 connects the western part of Paris to the suburbs of Asnières-sur-Seine, Gennevilliers, Clichy, Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine in the north and to Malakoff, Vanves, Châtillon and Montrouge in the south. Grand Paris Express
Grand Paris Express is a group of new rapid transit lines being built in the Île-de-France region of France. The project comprises four new lines for Paris Métro, plus extensions of existing Lines 11 and 14. A total of of new track and 68 new stations are to be added, serving a projected 2 million passengers a day. The new lines were originally indexed by colour (Red Line, Pink Line, Green Line), but this changed in 2013 to continue the numbering convention that the RATP uses. Rosny–Bois Perrier station ( French: ''Gare de Rosny—Bois Perrier'') is a French railway station in Rosny-sous-Bois, in Seine-Saint-Denis ''département'', in Île-de-France region. Mairie des Lilas () is a station of the Paris Métro in the commune of Les Lilas and serves as the northern terminus of line 11. It is named after the town hall of Les Lilas. A small underground depot is located near the station to service the trains of line 11. The station is sometimes believed to be the subject of the Serge Gainsbourg song "Le Poinçonneur des Lilas", about a Métro ticket inspector, although the promotional film for it was filmed at the Porte des Lilas. History The station opened as part of the extension of the line from Porte des Lilas on 17 February 1937. Paris Métro Line 7
Paris Métro Line 7 is one of sixteen lines of the Paris Métro system. Crossing the capital from its north-eastern to south-eastern sections via a moderately curved path, it links La Courneuve – 8 mai 1945 in the north with Mairie d'Ivry and Villejuif – Louis Aragon in the south, while passing through important parts of central Paris. Line 7 began operating in 1910 and, along with Line 13, is one of only two Métro lines that has a branch.
