Port Of Brisbane Motorway
Port of Brisbane Motorway is a motorway which connects the Port of Brisbane to the Gateway Motorway. Stage 1 was opened in December 2002. The motorway was built to take freight traffic off Lytton Road, with about 4,000 vehicles travelling to the Port of Brisbane in 2002. Stage 1 cost A$196 million and was finished six months ahead of schedule and A$20 million under budget. The Port of Brisbane Motorway holds the M4 motorway designation. Stage 2 includes a three kilometre extension of the existing motorway through to Pritchard Street. Construction commenced in April 2011 with completion in February 2013. The project was named Port Connect, an A$385 million upgrade. A further stage of upgrade was completed on the connecting roads to the port. Gateway Motorway
The Gateway Motorway (M2 to Eight Mile Plains and M1 to Pine River) is a major tolled motorway in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia which includes the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridges (former Gateway Bridge). The motorway is operated by toll road operator Transurban. It bypasses Brisbane in order to provide easier access between the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. It runs from the M2 Logan Motorway in Drewvale (near Browns Plains) to the Gympie Arterial Road in Bald Hills. At the interchange with the Pacific Motorway at Eight Mile Plains (Pacific Motorway exit 16), its original terminus pre-1997, the route number changes from M2 (Logan Motorway – Pacific Motorway) to M1 (Pacific Motorway – Bruce Highway (Gympie Arterial Road)). Lytton is an outer riverside suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Lytton had a population of 6 people. The historical region was a significant naval base after the establishment of Fort Lytton between 1880 and 1881. Bulimba Creek, originally known as Doboy Creek or Doughboy Creek, is a perennial stream that is a tributary of the Brisbane River, located in suburban Brisbane in the South East region of Queensland, Australia. Course and features The Bulimba Creek catchment has it sources in the low plateaus and marshy parts of the suburbs of and Runcorn (west catchment) and Kuraby (east catchment) in the south of Brisbane.
