Croatian Popular Party (1919)
Croatian Popular Party ( hr, Hrvatska pučka stranka, ) was a minor political party that acted as a political branch of the Croatian Catholic Movement and it existed between 1919 and 1929 in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Until Stjepan Radić's assassination in National Assembly in Belgrade in 1928, the Croatian Catholic Movement was pro-Yugoslav, and after the assassination pro-Croatian within Yugoslavia. However, after the failure of the Yugoslav government to implement the concordate with the Holy See, the Croatian Catholic Movement became strictly pro-Croatian. The HPS was established by the main organ of the Croatian Catholic Movement, the Croatian Catholic Seniorate (HKS). The People's Party, also known as the Populist Party or simply the Populists, was a left-wing Agrarianism, agrarian populist political party in the United States in the late 19th century. The Populist Party emerged in the early 1890s as an important force in the Southern and Western United States, but collapsed after it nominated Democratic Party (United States), Democrat William Jennings Bryan in the 1896 United States presidential election. A Rump party, rump faction of the party continued to operate into the first decade of the 20th century, but never matched the popularity of the party in the early 1890s. The Populist Party Ontario (french: Parti Populiste Ontario, PPO) is a minor political party in Ontario, Canada. The party began its registration process with Elections Ontario upon Shelley Batcules' request on December 17, 2021, and its party name was approved on January 24, 2022. The People's Party was a political party in the United States, founded in 1971 by various individuals and state and local political parties, including the Peace and Freedom Party, Commongood People's Party, Country People's Caucus, Human Rights Party, Liberty Union, New American Party, New Party (Arizona), and No Party. The party's goal was to present a united anti-war platform for the coming election. The People's Party fielded candidates for the presidency two times. The Populist Party ( tr, Halkçı Parti, HP) was a political party in Turkey which was active between 1983 and 1985. Background After the coup of 1980, all political parties were dissolved by the military government (ruling through the National Security Council or tr, MGK) regardless of their political views, on 16 October 1981. In 1983, the MGK decided to allow the formation of new parties with severe restrictions. The new parties were not allowed to use the names of former parties and former politicians were not allowed to be charter member of the new parties.
