Shamna Kasim better known by the stage name Poorna, is an Indian actress, dancer and model who appears in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil films. She made her acting debut in the 2004 '' Manju Poloru Penkutty''. Early life Shamna Kasim completed her Bachelor of Arts in English by correspondence. She resides in Kochi, Kerala. Poorna Jagannathan is an American producer and actress of Indian descent. She is best known for her portrayal of Safar Khan in the HBO drama miniseries ''The Night Of'', as well for her role as Nalini Vishwakumar in the Netflix teen comedy series ''Never Have I Ever'' by Mindy Kaling. She also co-conceived, produced and acted in the play ''Nirbhaya'', written and directed by Yael Farber. Dealing with sexual violence, the play won the prestigious 2013 Amnesty International Award and was called by The Telegraph as the "One of the most powerful pieces of theater you'll ever see". Malavath Poorna (born 10 June 2000) is an Indian mountaineer. On 25 May 2014, Poorna climbed Mount Everest, aged 13 years and 11 months, the youngest Indian and the youngest female to have reached the summit. Purna climbed Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia and Europe on 27 July 2017. After reaching the summit of Elbrus, Poorna unfurled a 50 ft long Indian Tricolor and sang the Indian National Anthem. She completed the Seven Summits on 5 June 2022 climbing Mount Denali, along with father-daughter duo Ajeet Bajaj and Deeya Bajaj.
