Poland Men's National Under-21 Volleyball Team
The Poland men's national under-21 volleyball team is controlled by the ''Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej'' (PZPS), which represents the country in international competitions – U20 European Championships and U21 World Championship. History First massive success Polish junior national team was achieved by players born mostly in 1977 and 1978. The junior national team led by coach Ireneusz Mazur achieved titles of 1996 Junior European Champion and 1997 Junior World Champion successively in the tournaments held in Israel and Bahrain. Among the players of this team were several players who later achieved notable careers and many medals in domestic and international tournaments like for example Paweł Zagumny, Krzysztof Ignaczak, Sebastian Świderski, Piotr Gruszka. FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, called the FIVB Volleyball Men's Junior World Championship between 2007 and 2011, is the world championship of volleyball for male players under the age of 21 organized by ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' ( FIVB). The first edition was staged in 1977 in Brazil and tournaments have been played every four years for the first three editions and every two years since then. The most recent tournament was hosted by Bahrain in the city of Manama and won by Iran. Russia is the most successful nation in the tournament's history, with six titles and three runners-up. Brazil is the second most successful with four titles and six runners-up. A corresponding tournament for female players is the FIVB Volleyball Women's U21 World Championship. Marcin Możdżonek
Marcin Rafał Możdżonek (born 9 February 1985) is a Polish former professional volleyball player, a member of the Polish national team in 2007–2016, a participant at the Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012), the 2014 World Champion, 2009 European Champion, and the 2012 World League. Career Clubs In 2012-2014 Możdżonek played for ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. With this club he won the Polish Cup twice (2013, 2014) and won the silver medal in the Polish Championship 2012/2013. In October 2014, he moved to Turkish club Halkbank Ankara. On March 29, 2015 he achieved his first trophy with his new club Halkbank Ankara – the Turkish Cup. In the final his team beat Arkas Izmir 3-0 and he scored 10 points. In July 2015 he came back to Poland and he signed a contract with MKS Cuprum Lubin. The 2023 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the 22nd edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, the biennial international junior volleyball championship contested by the men's national teams under the age of 21 of the members associations of the FIVB (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the twentieth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 21 of the members of the FIVB, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held in Riffa, Bahrain from 18 to 27 July 2019. 16 teams from the 5 confederations competed in the tournament. Players must be born on or after 1 January 1999. The 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the eighteenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, which was hosted by Mexico from 11 to 20 September 2015 in the cities of Mexicali and Tijuana. 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship
The 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was held in Turkey for ten days, from 22 August to 1 September 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams. Competition formula The 20 teams will be divided into four pools of five teams each and will play a round-robin tournament. The bottom-ranked team of each pool will play classification matches for 17th-20th place in a round-robin system. The other 16 teams progress to the Eight Finals which consists of a playoff (1st of Pool A against 4th of Pool B etc.).
