''Point of Grace'' is the debut album by the contemporary Christian music group of the same name. It was released in 1993 by Word Records. In 2000, the album was remastered and reissued with new artwork. Background, release, and legacy The album produced six #1 singles on ''Billboards Christian songs chart, making the group the first to achieve such a run with their debut album. One music video was filmed, for "Jesus Will Still Be There." The group's debut single, "I'll Be Believing," was the only programmed song on the album. John Mays, then the group's A&R representative at Word Records, originally thought it would be best if it were buried in the tracklist. When the song was later performed live in 1996 on The Message About Life, Love & Other Mysteries Tour, an entirely new sequence was designed by Michael Hodge and Mark Childers. Point Of Grace
Point of Grace is an all-female contemporary Christian music vocal group. The current trio consists of Shelley Breen, Denise Jones, and Leigh Cappillino. The group started out as a quartet in 1991, with original members Breen and Jones, as well as Terry Jones and Heather Payne. Terry Jones left in November 2003 to spend more time with her family after the birth of her third child, with Cappillino joining in March 2004 for their 2004 release ''I Choose You''. In June 2008, Payne announced her retirement from the group to spend more time with her family. The group's self-titled debut album was released in 1993. In 2003, they released their ninth album, '' 24'' – a compilation of 24 previous hits. Take 6 is an American a cappella gospel music, gospel sextet formed in 1980 on the campus of Oakwood University, Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. The group integrates jazz with spiritual and inspirational lyrics. Take 6 has received several Grammy award, Grammy Awards as well as Dove Awards, a Soul Train Award and nominations for the NAACP Image Award. Quad Studios Nashville was a four-studio recording facility established as Quadrafonic Sound Studio in 1971 on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. John Jaszcz (pronounced "Yosh") is an American music engineer, producer, and mixer. "Yosh," as he has been nicknamed, currently resides and works in Franklin, Tennessee. He is a well-known engineer in the R&B and Gospel music communities. David Mullen (singer)
David Mullen (born 1964) is a former Blues Pop / CCM singer, songwriter and musician. Later he became well known as a songwriter, music producer, and film score composer. He released his first album in 1989, and won the GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year in 1990. He later recorded his last album in 1994. Since then, he has written and produced recordings for several other Christian artists, most notably Nicole C. Mullen. David and Nicole shared the 1998 Dove Award for Song of the Year (along with Michael Ochs) for writing the song "On My Knees" for Jaci Velasquez; Nicole later included the song on her own album. Cindy Lavonne Morgan (born June 4, 1968) is a contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter. Morgan's 1992 debut album, ''Real Life'', earned her six Dove Award nominations. Her follow-up, '' A Reason to Live'', garnered her another Dove Award nomination. Overall she has earned 13 Dove Awards. Travis Cottrell is an American contemporary Christian music (CCM) artist, songwriter, author, and worship leader. Biography Cottrell was raised in Boone, North Carolina. In 1990, he moved to Nashville to study at Belmont University. After graduating in 1992 with a degree in music Cottrell dedicated time to songwriting.
