Po Lam Station
Po Lam () is the northern Train station#Terminus, terminus MTR List of MTR stations, station of the . It is located on Mau Yip Road, Po Lam, in the New Territories of Hong Kong, sandwiched by Phases 1 to 3 of Metro City (Hong Kong), Metro City. Built by Maeda Corporation, it opened on 18 August 2002. The name of the station is taken from the nearby Po Lam Road North. Station layout Unlike most MTR train station, stations and unique in the , the concourse, gates and platform of Po Lam station are on the same level. Track (rail transport), Tracks ascend from underground to ground level at the southern end of the station, along King Lam Estate. A park is located on top of the tracks to cover them. Po Lam
Po Lam ( Chinese: 寶琳 or 寶林) is a neighbourhood in northern Tseung Kwan O, New Territories. An MTR station with the same name, Tseung Kwan O Village, Yau Yue Wan Village, King Lam Estate, and Po Lam Estate are located there. Name Po Lam is named after one of the first roads in Tseung Kwan O, the Po Lam Road, whose name was taken from the Chinese translation of the first name of Barbara B. Whitener (寶琳), Rev. Sterling H. Whitener's wife. Rev. Whitener was a missionary based at the Haven of Hope Tuberculosis Sanatorium (now Haven of Hope Hospital) at the time. When Po Lam Estate was under planning, it was named "寶林邨", with a different second character but pronounced in the same way. The Po Lam MTR station, on the contrary, used "琳". Government documents have used both names, referring to the area as "寶琳" in a brochure issued by the Planning Department, but also using "林" for the Po Lam Sports Centre within Po Lam Estate. King Lam Estate
King Lam Estate () is a mixed TPS and public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong near MTR Po Lam station. It is the third public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O and has a total of seven residential blocks built in 1990. Some of the flats were sold to tenants through Tenants Purchase Scheme Phase 4 in 2001. Ho Ming Court () is a Home Ownership Scheme housing court in Tseung Kwan O near King Lam Estate. A siding, in rail terminology, is a low-speed track section distinct from a running line or through route such as a main line, branch line, or spur. Hang Hau Station
Hang Hau () is an MTR List of MTR stations, station of , located at Pui Shing Road, Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It was the easternmost station in the MTR railway system, until LOHAS Park station opened on 26 July 2009. It was named after Hang Hau Village, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Residence Oasis, a private residential estate, and its accompanied shopping centre, the Lane, are situated above the station. The Mass Transit Railway (MTR) is a major public transport network serving :Hong Kong. Operated by the MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL), it consists of heavy rail, light rail, and feeder bus service centred on a 10-line rapid transit network serving the urbanised areas of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories.
