Playa de La Alcaidesa is a beach in the municipality of La Línea de la Concepción, in the Province of Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain. It has a length of about and average width of about . It i s a busy beach north of the city and bounded on the south by the Playa de La Hacienda and north by Punta Mala, and in the municipality of San Roque. It contain toilets, showers and has daily collection of waste during the bathing season. La Línea De La Concepción
La Línea de la Concepción (, more often referred to as La Línea) is a municipality of Spain belonging to the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. The city lies on the sandy isthmus which is part of the eastern flank of the Bay of Gibraltar, and it limits with the Gibraltar–Spain border to the south. La Línea has close economic and social links with the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. The first dwellings, which date back to the 18th century, were behind the Spanish lines, being part of the municipality of San Roque until 1870, when La Línea became a standalone municipality. The people of La Línea have traditionally found work in Gibraltar, from the days in the 18th century when Gibraltar was an important naval port. Punta Mala
Carbonera Lighthouse ( es, Faro de carbonera) is an active lighthouse located on Punta Mala, La Alcaidesa, Spain, it overlooks the Strait of Gibraltar. History The original lighthouse was built in 1588, and later restored in the 18th century and 1989. Its other name is Torre de Punta Mala. There is a small ruin of the Casa de Carbonera (charcoal-maker's house) next to the lighthouse. The beach below is known as Playa Balñario and is classified as a Nude beach. San Roque, Cádiz
San Roque is a municipality of Spain belonging to the province of Cádiz, which in turn is part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is also part of the of Campo de Gibraltar. Located in the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula, San Roque is a short way inland of the north side of the Bay of Gibraltar, to the north of the Gibraltar peninsula. The municipality has a total surface of 145 km2 with a population of approximately 25,500 people, as of 2005. The foundation of San Roque as a city owes to the creation of a sort of Gibraltar-in-exile by refugees fleeing from the Rock in the wake of its seizure by Anglo-Dutch forces in 1704. In addition of the main nucleus of San Roque, the municipality also includes settlements such as Puente Mayorga, , Sotogrande or Guadiaro. La Alcaidesa
La Alcaidesa is a gated community (known as an ''urbanización'' in Spanish) near Sotogrande, Spain (within the municipalities of La Línea de la Concepción and San Roque), in the Andalusian province of Cádiz, accessed by junction 124 on the Autovía A-7 coastal motorway. The natural topography allows the town to enjoy an enviable location overlooking the Mediterranean with easy access to Gibraltar, the Campo and the towns of Algeciras and Marbella. The town has two staffed, gated access points and mobile security patrols. A fire station exclusively serving Alcaidesa was built in 2008. The town boasts two golf courses, the original is links style, said to be the only one in Spain. The second is a more traditional heathland course.
