Carl Nicolai Stoud Platou
Carl Nicolai Stoud Platou (26 June 1809 – 11 September 1888) was a Norwegian civil servant and politician. Personal life He was born in Christiania as a son of educator, professor, politician and State Secretary Ludvig Stoud Platou (1749–1815) and his wife Karen Lumholtz (1785–1833). He was a maternal grandson of Nicolai Lumholtz and brother of Frederik Christian Stoud Platou, and through the latter an uncle of Oscar Ludvig Stoud Platou. In August 1838 in Undrumsdal he married Christence Dorothea Plade Nielsen (1817–1889). They had the son Lars Hannibal Sommerfeldt Stoud Platou and the daughter Valborg Platou. A third son Carl Ludvig named his son Carl Nicolai Stoud Platou, Jr. Career He took his examen artium in 1827 and graduated from the university with the cand.jur. degree in 1832. Oscar Ludvig Stoud Platou
Oscar Ludvig Stoud Platou (16 July 1845 – 17 January 1929) was a Norwegian jurist. After fourteen years as an assessor in Oslo City Court from 1876 to 1890, he was a professor at the Royal Frederick University from 1890 to 1920. Personal life He was born in Christiania as the son of Frederik Christian Stoud Platou (1811–1891). and his wife Constance Henriette Reiersen (1820–1893). In the United States, a plat ( or ) (plan) is a cadastral map, drawn to scale, showing the divisions of a piece of land. United States General Land Office surveyors drafted township plats of Public Lands Surveys to show the distance and bearing between section corners, sometimes including topographic or vegetation information. City, town or village plats show subdivisions broken into blocks with streets and alleys. Anders Platou Wyller (24 April 1903 - 2 October 1940) was a Norwegian philologist and humanist. Biography Wyller was born at Stavanger in Rogaland, Norway. He was the son of Thomas Christian Wyller (1858-1921) and Birgitte Platou (1862-1922). His sister, Ingrid Wyller (1896-1994), was associated with the Norwegian Nurses Association and Norwegian Red Cross Nursing School in Oslo. In 1922, he began studying at the University of Christiania from which he earned his cand.philol. in 1933. Between 1929 and 1936, he lived in Paris. Peter Platou Stabell
Peter Platou Stabell (12 August 1908 – 10 March 1992) was a Norwegian barrister. He was born in Kolbu as a son of attorney Bernhard Dunker Stabell (1878–1929) and Dorothea Antoinette Platou (1883–1964). In 1948 he married American citizen Dorothy Nicholson. Stabell was a brother of diplomat Adolf Bredo Stabell, a distant descendant of the newspaper editor Adolf Bredo Stabell and uncle of actor Thea Stabell. Waldemar Stoud Platou (11 August 1868 – 13 July 1930) was a Norwegian businessperson. He had a long career in the brewery industry. Valborg Stoud Platou
Valborg Stoud Platou (15 October 1881 – 11 November 1960) was a Norwegian judge and attorney. From 1911, she served as head of state in the capital of Kristiania, but only a few months since she became a secretary in the Ministry of Labor until 1926. Theodor Platou
Theodor Platou (4 September 1892 – 18 October 1969) was a Norwegian businessperson in the brewery industry. Platou was born in Bergen to brewer Waldemar Stoud Platou and Hilda Oppegaard. He was manager of Hansa Brewery from 1916 to 1919. From 1924 to 1962 he was CEO of Frydenlunds bryggeri in Oslo, and also chairman of the board of the brewery from 1930 to 1960. During the German occupation of Norway Platou served with the Norwegian Brigade in Scotland. Platou was decorated as a Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav in 1938, and was a Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog. Ragnar Stoud Platou (8 April 1897 – 1 April 1979) was a Norwegian ship broker. Personal life Platou was born to the banker Gabriel Andreas Stoud Platou (1858–1911) and his wife Ingeborg Sophie Falck (1864–1958). His younger brother was the architect Frithjof Stoud Platou. Ludvig Stoud Platou (28 March 1778 – 30 November 1833) was a Danish-Norwegian educator, historical and geographical writer, politician and State Secretary. Personal life He was born in Slagelse, Denmark as a son of curate Friderich Christian Platou (1749–1815) and his wife Cathrine Stoud (1751–1824). They had the sons Carl Nicolai Stoud Platou and Frederik Christian Stoud Platou. Ludvig was grandfather of Lars, Valborg and Oscar Ludvig Stoud Platou, and great-grandfather of Carl Platou. Carl Platou
Carl Nicolai Stoud Platou (25 July 1885 – 1 February 1956) was a Norwegian civil servant and politician. A jurist by education, he is best known for his civil servant career in the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and the Police, which spanned from 1911 to 1941. He was promoted to deputy under-secretary of state in 1926, but was dismissed and later incarcerated for listening to hostile radio in 1941, during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany.
