Planet 1999
Planet 1999 is a French synth-pop and shoegaze band based in London. The group consists of members Caro, Alex, and Charles, who also operate as solo acts under the names caro♡, City Links, and Ultralove, respectively. They were the first band to be signed to the record label PC Music. They also occasionally act as songwriters and record producers for other artists. Alex described the defining characteristics of their music as a "minimalistic shoegaze loop with over-processed vocals on top of it." The band has cited many shoegaze and krautrock artists as their inspirations. Often featured in Planet 1999's visuals is a mascot named Zippy which was designed by artist Leomi Sadler. Shoegaze (originally called shoegazing and sometimes conflated with "dream pop") is a subgenre of indie and alternative rock characterized by its ethereal mixture of obscured vocals, guitar distortion and effects, feedback, and overwhelming volume.Pete Prown / Harvey P. ''Reflections'' is the debut studio album by British singer and visual artist Hannah Diamond. It was released on 22 November 2019 via PC Music. Background and release Reflections initially was intended to be released as an EP in late 2016 with its lead single being "Fade Away", which was released on 7 October 2016. Following the announcement of the EP, Diamond released "Make Believe" on 23 December 2016. She continued to hint at new music throughout 2017 and 2018, telling fans via social media that new music would be imminent. Jasper Patterson, better known by his stage name Groundislava, is an electronic musician and music producer based in Los Angeles, California. He is one of the founding members of the LA-based music collective Wedidit. Career Patterson, whose father Michael Patterson, directed the 1980s A-Ha video, ''Take On Me'', grew up in Palms, Los Angeles. Thomas Michael Purcell, known professionally as Wave Racer, is an Australian musician, multi-instrumentalist and music producer.
