Fulvio Pelli
Fulvio Pelli (born 26 January 1951) is a Swiss politician. He was the last president of the Free Democratic Party prior to its merger with the Liberal Party of Switzerland. After the merger of the two parties, he served as the first president of FDP.The Liberals from 2009 to 2012. Pelli was a member of the Swiss National Council from 1995 to 2014. He served in the communal legislature of Lugano from 1980 to 1990 and in the Grand Council of Ticino from 1983 to 1995. Biography Pelli was born in Aranno, in the Lugano District of Ticino. His father, Ferruccio, was the mayor of Lugano to 16 years. He studied law in Zurich and worked as a lawyer in Lugano. Petra Gössi
Petra Gössi is a Swiss politician. She has served as a member of the Swiss National Council and has been the leader of the FDP.The Liberals party since 2016. Gössi was born in Lucerne but raised in Küssnacht am Rigi in the canton of Schwyz. She went to high school in Immensee and graduated from the University of Bern with a law degree. She worked as a tax and business consultant. In 2004, she was elected to the Cantonal Council of Schwyz. At the age of 32, she became the council president and served in that role until 2011, when she was elected to the National Council. She was also selected as the FDP leader in Schwyz. The National Council (german: Nationalrat; french: Conseil national; it, Consiglio nazionale; rm, Cussegl naziunal) is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland, the upper house being the Council of States. It comprises 46 members. Twenty of the country's cantons are represented by two Councillors each.
