Phil Walsh (English Footballer)
Phillip Andrew Walsh (born 4 February 1984) is an English former professional footballer. His father Alan Walsh was also a professional footballer, making over 400 appearances in the Football League. Early life Despite being born in Hartlepool, Walsh grew up in Portishead, North Somerset as one of four children, before moving to Turkey when his father Alan Walsh left Bristol City F.C. for Beşiktaş in 1989. The family returned to Portishead in 1991, where Walsh attended Gordano School between 1995 and 2000. After leaving school in 2000, Walsh played for Almondsbury Town. Career Having begun his career with Almondsbury Town, Walsh returned to the club in 2004 following spells with Clevedon Town and Taunton Town. He moved to Bath City in 2005, after impressing in a pre-season friendly win over Chesham United, where he established himself as a first team regular over a three-year period, as well as spending loan spells at Paulton Rovers and Tiverton Town. Hartlepool
Hartlepool () is a seaside and port town in County Durham, England. It is the largest settlement and administrative centre of the Borough of Hartlepool. With an estimated population of 90,123, it is the second-largest settlement in County Durham. Leatherhead F
Leatherhead is a town in the Mole Valley District of Surrey, England, about south of Central London. The settlement grew up beside a ford on the River Mole, from which its name is thought to derive. During the late Anglo-Saxon period, Leatherhead was a royal vill and is first mentioned in the will of Alfred the Great in 880 AD. The first bridge across the Mole may have been constructed in around 1200 and this may have coincided with the expansion of the town and the enlargement of the parish church. For much of its history, Leatherhead was primarily an agricultural settlement, with a weekly market being held until the mid-Elizabethan era. The English Football League Two (often referred to as League Two for short or Sky Bet League Two for sponsorship purposes, and known as the Football League Two from 2004 until 2016) is the third and lowest division of the English Football League (EFL) and fourth-highest division overall in the English football league system. Ashley James Ward Vickers (born 14 June 1972) is an English former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Playing career Born in Sheffield, Vickers began his career as a defender with Sheffield United, but was released at the end of his traineeship and joined non-League Worcester City. He subsequently played for Malvern Town and The 61 Club before joining Heybridge Swifts. He was playing for Heybridge, managed by Garry Hill in the 1997–98 season, getting sent off in the FA Cup First Round defeat away to AFC Bournemouth in November that year. Chesham (, , or ) is a market town and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, England, south-east of the county town of Aylesbury, north-west of central London, and part of the London commuter belt. Gordano School () is a comprehensive school with academy status located in Portishead, North Somerset, England. In 1999, the school was awarded Specialist schools Technology College status. Gordano School has 2,100 pupils aged 11 to 18 as of March 2022 with an Ofsted rating of outstanding. History The school was originally proposed in 1937, with a projected cost of £27,000. However, the project was cancelled due to the Second World War. New plans were drawn in 1952, and excavation of the site started in 1954. During excavations, the skeleton of an Iron Age man was found, who was nicknamed Septimus because he was discovered on the seventh day of the seventh month. Septimus was rumoured to have been part of former Anglo Saxon tribes and it was later discovered that he died of malaria. Portishead () is a coastal village on the Severn Estuary, 8 miles (12 km) to the west of Bristol, but within the unitary district of North Somerset, which falls within the ceremonial county of Somerset, England. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. Alan Walsh (footballer)
Alan Walsh (born 9 December 1956) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger or striker. He spent much of his career with Bristol City and Darlington, where he was the club's record goalscorer. He won two Turkish Süper Lig championships with Beşiktaş. Early and personal life Walsh was born to June (née Stockton) and John Walsh. He has one younger sister, Terry.
