Philip James Pfeifer (born July 15, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Canberra Cavalry of the Australian Baseball League. He previously played college baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores of Vanderbilt University. Amateur career Pfeifer graduated from Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee. He played for the school's baseball team, and set a state record by recording 46 wins. He enrolled at Vanderbilt University to play college baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team. In 2012, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Viktor Pfeifer (born May 16, 1987) is an Austrian former competitive figure skater. An eight-time Austrian national champion, he has placed as high as eighth at the European Championships (2013) and has competed three times at the Winter Olympics, placing 22nd in 2006, 21st in 2010 and 26th in 2014. Paul E. Pfeifer (born October 15, 1942) is an American jurist. He served in both houses of the Ohio General Assembly as a member of the Ohio Republican party and was most recently an associate justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio. Pfeifer was born in Bucyrus in 1942. He grew up on his family's dairy farm near Bucyrus. As a teenager, he raised purebred Yorkshire hogs to finance his college education. Felix Georg Pfeifer (9 November 1871, Leipzig – 6 March 1945, Leipzig) was a German sculptor and medallist. Biography Pfeifer was the third son of six children born to the businessman, Friedrich Eduard Pfeifer. Pfeifer is an unincorporated community in Freedom Township, Ellis County, Kansas, United States. It is located south of Victoria. History Volga German immigrants founded Pfeifer in August 1876, naming it after the village they had emigrated from in Russia. The final group of Volga German immigrants arrived from the community of Kamenka in June 1878. In 1884, the settlement moved to its current location. A post office opened in Pfeifer in 1887. Beginning in 1879, local residents constructed a series of church buildings that culminated in the completion of Holy Cross Church in May 1918. Louis Fred Pfeifer (June 19, 1876 – February 9, 1949) was a private in the United States Marine Corps who received the Medal of Honor for risking his life to rescue several shipmates during a fire aboard . Pfeifer joined the Marine Corps from Philadelphia under the name Louis Fred Theis and served aboard the during engagements in the waters around Manila during the Spanish–American War. When a fire broke out aboard ship and several crew members went missing while trying to extinguish the flames, Pfeifer (under the name of Theis) and several other shipmates risked their lives to rescue them.
