Peter David Wright (born 15 August 1982) is an English professional Association football, footballer who played in the Football League, as a Forward (association football), forward for Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United and Halifax Town A.F.C., Halifax Town. Career Wright started his career in the youth system at Blackburn Rovers F.C., Blackburn Rovers before transferring to Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United. In 2000, he signed his first professional contract with the FA Premier League side, featuring predominantly in the reserves. In the summer of 2001, Wright joined Football League Third Division side Halifax Town A.F.C., Halifax Town on a free transfer. It was at Halifax where he made his professional debut in a 2–1 win over Lincoln City F.C., Lincoln City, replacing Craig Midgley as a substitute. Preston () is a city on the north bank of the River Ribble in Lancashire, England. The National League North, formerly Conference North, is a division of the National League in England, immediately below the National League division. Along with the National League South, it is at the second level of the National League System, and at the sixth tier overall of the English football league system. The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). The National League (named Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons) is an association football league in England consisting of three divisions, the National League, National League North, and National League South. It was called the "Alliance Premier League" from 1979 until 1986. Between 1986 and 2015, the league was known as the "Football Conference"." The Shay
The Shay is a sports stadium in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. The stadium is owned by Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council and leased by the Shay Stadium Trust, a not-for-profit company set up to preserve the ground as a sports stadium. The Shay lies on the south side of Halifax, about a quarter of a mile from the town centre. The four stands at the stadium include the North Stand, the East Stand, the South Stand and the Skircoat Stand. The North and South stands were built in the mid-1990s. The Football League Third Division was the third tier of the English football league system in 1920–21 and again from 1958 until 1992.
